Points of Discussion (that I remember at the moment)

- Team Combinations/Number of teams for USA
- Overall tournament format
- Deadlines/Dates
- Americans playing for different teams
- Determining team captains
- How to choose the starting/subbing players for larger teams

1) I'd say one team for the USA, with a good amount of subbing to give a decent amount of players subbing time.
2) Group + Finals seemed fine
3) Last two weeks of November was the time last year, same thing should work.
4) Don't think this really worked out last time.
5) Voting?
6) I'd be against team captains picking, lots of bias can occur.

@Slov yes it was, we had a group stage (4 groups of 3) and then 2 from each group went forward to make 8 team elimination style bracket (like quarters of ladle onwards).

I agree with desolate's points. I think to play for a team you either should hold that nationality or live in that country.

we should do this with the ladle once a year to. I mean, have regular teams, but do a group stage and call it something special, spread it over two weekends

Question: do you have to play where ur from?

If so, that'd be a lot of U.S....Maybe we could do east and west?

There are literally 10s of pages arguing this point over in the previous thread if you want a "fun" read.

Basically, some people (myself included) last year pushed for multiple USA teams due to the numbers, which would allow the first tournament to have more participating teams, and more people would get to play. However, if I remember correctly, the general conclusion was that this year we should try tame it back from 3 teams to 1, and at the very most 2.

@Concord, someone should bring it up in a ladle (voting) thread then :)

I'd personally be in favor of 2...Don't know how much that matters.

I still don't think East and West works out even if the community agreed on two teams, the Eastern players outnumber the Western players.

I think having a lot of teams in the US is fine, but the people in the US should be able to choose the teams for themselves.

I like that idea..

I don't know why we would have to limit to 1 team :/

Deso, I think you should create a thread similar to last year where people sign up, so we can see how many potential teams/players there are before we tackle a few of those points above.

I planned on opening it a little later, but I see how actual numbers would help

Ok cool.

Also I'm wondering if moving it forward a week would be good(?), the last weekend in November is thanksgiving weekend so a lot of people are spending that time with their families/flying back to school on that day.

I remember because I was super late last year, when I opened up tron and found my team playing in the finals lol

I vote for 2 U.S.A. teams.
East Coast
Rest of U.S.A.

This game is supposed to be for fun right? Why eliminate the majority of American players just because they aren't up to par with a select 8 or so.

Two U.S.A. teams FTW!

BTW, I remember there being 3 U.S.A. teams last time. Are there not enough players anymore for this?
