Where is the Ladle (and Fortress) heading in the future?

None of you are being forced to play btw, if it's too much for you then you can choose not to enter and take a break.

23 Ladles later and I'm still not bored and having a great time playing them. All the haters can just go do something else on Sundays, thanks. Apparently 19 teams still find it fun too. I would think if Ladle "lost it's spark" we would be back to an 8-team bracket. Hell, even 14 teams and it would still be as exciting as a last year and the year before.

My mates and I still find the Ladle a lot of fun, my enjoyment of it is always increasing, though we've yet to get that whole "winning" thing down - so winning isn't necessarily related to your enjoyment of it.

Maybe having so many tournaments all the time detracts from the fun of any of the tournaments? Just a thought (though nobody should ever be precluded from hosting a tournament)

But why would people care about winning if the ladles lost its spark? I'm not sure how relevant your post is to this topic, let alone supportive of it.

As far as trying to win in a tourney (which i consider to be a lot more fun than dropping out the first round), no one is asking or expecting you to. You can sit out if you'd like, or just be like the increasing number of players in these tournaments who don't even expect to win, and yet sign up consistently (to play and have fun).

More concretely, I doubt many of the players in the MyM v. CT semis match found it very "dull". You can have fun while losing, but that doesn't mean its absent from winning.

This part is very true. Go back 4-5 years ago and boy, competitive fort was waaaaay different.

I think that's the main/big point I was hitting at. Sumo, sumo, sumo sumo. The Ladle had been around for quite some time before sumo tournaments began. Granted, the Ladle wasn't as popular back then as it is now.

That is a dumb statistic. You could also way we've won 2 of the last 6 ladles. That statistic looks a lot better now amirite?

Also, if I wanted to win more why would I hint at having the ladle less often?
