If people don't like it they don't have to sign up.

This.

And  at Cody trying to defend his bad behaviour with sarcasm. You obviously know what you did was wrong...oh wait this is giving me deja vu, forget it.
Well...I did.

I doubt this will be a problem later. Since there is attention drawn to it he's kind of forced into having some level of transparency. And yeah, Cody, even though it's your right to run your tournament the way you want, being catty and caustic is not becoming of someone who wants people to support their events. Dial it back a bit, eh?

No it's stupid. Eckz was paired with Durka, and since eckz was a finalist last 1v1, he doesn't deserve to go against someone as tough as durka, So yeah i did some switcharoos but it made a very good final. I don't care what goody has to say, he doesn't even enter my tournaments. Don't care what Epsy has to say, hes just a homophobe. Gonzap don't care if you don't play in my tournaments. Makes 1 more place for someone who does.

I only switch when its necessary and makes a good final.

ALSO whats this "mountain" you guys are talking about? What else can I do that's so bad?

If you're that bothered you should incorporate seeding.

How is epsy a homophobe? We have many gay friends that both of us know..................

You realize by acting like this you are going to make things difficult on yourself in the future, right? Here, this is how a diplomat would handle this situation:
Cody should have wrote:Dear community. I regret there has been some ill feelings resulting from my actions during the tournament. I know moving players around after they have been randomized into a bracket defeats the purpose of randomization, but I also want the competition to be fair. There is no easy way to do this because of the large number of players who participate infrequently, or who (through past experience) are not likely to show up at all. I used my best judgment, calling on my vast experience with "single-bind sumo" and the tight-knit group of enthusiasts who enjoy it. I understand your concerns and I'll do my best to address them for the next tournament, starting with a rewrite of the rules so my policies are clearly stated. Your feedback is very helpful and I hope we can work together to make this the best sumo tournament in Arma.
...or something like that.

Cody, for future reference, state that it's possible the brackets won't be completely randomized. I understand that it's your competition, but when you're doing sneaky things like that, whats going to make people trust you as an admin? I'm definitely not playing in any tourneys that you are hosting in the future. Even for you, I'm surprised you stooped this low.

I'm not racist, I have black friends. :moustache:

In all seriousness, I doubt epsy's a homophobe.

Thanks everyone for your inputs! I really appreciate them! I will however still continue to do brackets as I've always done them. Thanks. Next tournament is the 1v1 SB tournament :P

As much as I understand that you're trying to make for better finals and such, and that your intentions are good, I don't like the idea of anybody having the power to toy with the brackets as they see fit.

Just giving my input, that's all.

that's an ideal which the truth often leans towards, but doesn't always adhere to. Imagine the best player on a given day having to face best players 3-6 in the pre-finals matches, and then get's to best player 2 in the finals. Best player is poop tired and best player 2 is fresh and ready to go, and whoops best player. It's a simple and unlikely scenario, but it demonstrates the point.
