i really hate these robot advertisment scripts used to create members in forums with advert links to push up their ratings in search engines
would you deal with a company that uses these sneaky tricks ?
i wouldnt
heres the latest in a long line of fake advert members

Perhaps we can keep most of them from registering by hacking phpBB to use a different URL for registration? Or are these bots already so smart ( following links ) that CAPCHAs are required?

Can't you go to >AdminCP >User Admin >Management . Then type in the user name and at the bottom of the profile its says "Click here to delete this user; this cannot be undone." if you clck this and then click submit doesn't it delete the user????. If not, ive found it to be straight forward to delete any user through phpMyAdmin.

run a php script that urlencodes the "#" for you (simple enough) and then just type *that* in for that part of the username?
