how's it going so far?

2020, to be honest, it's going great. About 5 days now, and we're already close to being fully formed. Forums are coming along nicely, we already have a pretty decent server as well *fortress/sumo multimode*. Uhm, as stated, the intent of the Team is to have fun and enjoy tron for what it's worth. That being said, everyone is getting along great ;). We are certainly in need of a few more though, if you are interested (which would be awesome), just follow the link to our forums, i have a post under "Silly| Additions" for reference. Again, it's a team, I do possess Team Leader status, but only for now. Once things get more organized and structured, once the team is sealed, unless im voted as team leader by everyone, which doesnt matter to me, i will drop from that status. Just for now to insure everything goes smoothly. I'v been a part of Leading/building 2 pretty decent Team/clan's (F!GHT Clan (lasted several years) & Team .uNknown [currently thriving]..) So, im confident i can help Silly Puddy to its full potential. We are looking for dedicated and opinionated though humble teammates. So, if you have some cool idea's you'd love to implement into a fortress team, come on aboard.

Does everyone do this?
Ever since the 50's, man. Dig it: 50's Silly Putty Commercial.

Of course, as you see, the real name of the stuff is Silly Putty—that's how one spells the word "putty," for any usage referring to the rubbery material. "Puddy" is a boneheaded character on Seinfeld. Bets on whether the spelling was deliberate? My money is on "not."
Clutch wrote:Err no offense 2020, but why do you type like that?
He has always done that; there are years-old conversations about it on this forum, if you really want to do some digging. He thinks it's enlightened, anarchic, and utopian futuristic—some kind of silly shit that in actuality just makes him obnoxious. Recall, Concord did the same thing.

:). I actually am currently writing a cool little story as how the name came about.. fictional of course. As sine alluded to, i wanted to use all special characters in the name, so DD worked out :P. Thank you for undermining my intelligence though.

It's a shame you are taking members from other clans to do this.

Elmo? Who have i taken? Are you talking about syre? Maybe you havnt recognized it but.. apparently, the leadership in tu: is becoming overwhelming to some. I do not make anybodies decisions. If they want to leave a clan/team that is up to them. What is a shame, is that you would hold me accountable for their decision to leave Your clan. Im building a 'team' where there will be nobody making the decisions for 'everyone'. Apparently, syre appreciates the freedom. Actually Elmo, if you want syre to stay and everyone else for that matter, maybe you should ask them what you can do better as a clan leader to make them more comfortable? You know, i'v spoken with a few others about SillyPuddy and the responses i'v gotten from some of them is as follows: "Thanks, but i love the clan im with, thanks anyway". You're clan members could do the same.

I didn't realize asking someone to wear tags was that much.

 I know what it means.

Given the context and usage, I was questioning whether you were using the word you meant to, thinking perhaps you might've instead intended "underestimating," for example. But, if you insist I actually undermined your intelligence, welp, OK, whatever. I guess that would be an admission you didn't realise it was misspelled?

Some people dont like having to wear tags? Especially if they think the tag is tacky. For example, i just created a thread on Silly Puddy forums, of a team discussion for Tags. To give my views and get their ideas too. By the end, we will come to a conclusion everyone is comfortable with. Not so hard.

Enough please, elmo, alls fair in love and war.

Thump, gz on your new acquisition, you've probably done us a favor taking him off our hands, its obvious that he didn't feel he fit anymore. Players grow over time, and sometimes they grow to have different ideals they once held, and do not feel their clan meets their new ones (each clan/team is different, with different ideals, different seriousness of the game, etc. Thanks for telling us how to run our clan though, but I think the leaders can make up their own minds).

And a message to the rest of clans:

He is actively recruiting from current clans. Not that I have a problem with that ;)

Being asked to is one thing, ... making a full forum post and going on and on about seeing me with no clan tags is completely different. Let it go. I was in a war with another team and subbed for someone. I took tag off. I didn't feel like changing it back later because I'm lazy, then being harassed and having stuff said about me on clan forums helped push more.
