Re: Ladle 43
I'm glad someone finally took the time to do this. Thanks sine.
Re: Ladle 43
i was trying to but i messed up =), sine fixed it and told me how to do it for the next time
Re: Ladle 43
Thank Spook, he started it.
I think I might add those details to the operations page. It's kind of important. Anyone want to help me write up the procedure?Spook wrote:sine fixed it and told me how to do it for the next time
Re: Ladle 43
I've been wondering something about the servers.
How are they chosen?
It seems like in the past 3 ladles, the top seeded team played in the same server used in the final. I know you want to make transitions "smooth" but it can still be smooth by arranging the servers in a different way.

Re: Ladle 43
I remember suggesting to kyle that we put a line in .randomteam which would invert the bracket, randomly of course. It would mix things up a bit. This is probably the easiest solution to the "server problem," since the person placing the servers would have no idea which seed would be on top or bottom.owned wrote:It seems like in the past 3 ladles, the top seeded team played in the same server used in the final. Just so everyone knows, I added the following to Stage 1, reflecting common practice:sinewav wrote:I think I might add those details to the operations page. It's kind of important.
Operations wrote:When clearing the Challenge Board for the next Ladle, be sure to move the teams and brackets to their proper place on the Ladle/Results page and link to the relevant discussion thread on the forums. While editing the Challenge Board, pay special attention to comments and any references to the previous Ladle. Create a new bracket and plant the seeded teams in their proper place. After the Challenge Board has been cleared, post a new topic on the forums and cross-link that to the Ladle/Blurb on the Competition Hub, which should also be edited and made current.
Re: Ladle 43
Brackets are up.
Notice! There were no servers listed on the Challenge Board. I've since moved the previous ones out of the commented area back into the wiki section. I do not know the current status of any of these servers, so please check and make sure they are both running and up to date.
Good luck everyone.
