Kubuntu 10.10

Hey all,

im interested in using Kubuntu 10.1 but there is a problem:

I cant install Armagetron 3.0, because of some Error and i dont want to
change my operating system all the time and i wont play on 2.8 because i am
accustomed in 3.0.

Can someone help me?

Tell us how you are trying to install and post the exact error.

(Side note: it's 0.3, not 3.0, and you may want to upgrade to whatever current trunk is while you're at it.)

At first i tried using packagekit to install the game but 0.3 wasnt available.
So i decided t download the files from the official homepage: http://www.armagetronad.net

Download was successful but i cant extract the files
And i dont know other way's to install armagetron

We don't have 0.3 up there directly. Which file did you download specifically?
For real 0.3, you'd want this one: armagetronad-0.3.0.i686-generic-linux-gnu.package
Which is essentially a shell script. Open a terminal, cd to the download location, chmod +x it, execute it. It'll tell you what to do.

And we really, really need precise information. I don't know about the others, but my crystal ball is at the repair shop currently.
