Anyone whos played in a previous ladle will probably be able to guess your lineups to within a player or two... unless you are trying radically different lineups.

Also, this is going to make predictions even harder...

Predictions hard? Are you joking?

Liz is right, a ladle with team swiss in is a ladle that team swiss wins

I may not even bother playing because of it

Brackets are up:
http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php? ... d#Brackets

Thanks to kyle and noob13 for creating a workaround in tronner's absence. Frobot FTW! And thanks to Liz for reminding me to work on this and double checking my work. :P

NOTE: SwissTeam did not meet the minimum requirements for a team. They can join another team or "bye in" later.

 Good luck everyone.

Nor did open team, but they are in? Perhaps the best solution is to merge the two (under the title of open team)

Whoops! That looks like a mistake no one caught. sylla, you need to spend more time in IRC on Thursdays before Ladle. I think a merge is what will probably happen. Besides, we don't really want to drop Open Team from the brackets because it's kind of a rotten thing to do, wouldn't you say? I mean, considering the nature of the team they will always have roster problems -- and keeping them out of the tournament is bad form IMO. Haha, maybe I included them in .randomteam subconsciously because of that? Open Team is like a Ladle institution. They've probably played as many Ladles as the well established teams. :)

If you drop open team it gives us an even 16, since neither have met the requirements... then sa and DS don't have to play one extra game.

Ok dariv if you do that then how do you decide who stays where you are currently at in the bracket and who moves to face the collective?

I believe combining open team and the swiss team is the best idea.

It could be randomly chosen. Maybe we should ask the leaders of both sa and DS if they are ok with doing it, and if they both say yes, then we can randomize it.

@sine It's not exactly a rotten thing to do because they shouldn't have been on the bracket in the first place. As for combining the teams, if you do that, you need to make clear on the challenge board that both teams have combined. Open teams are already unorganized and I foresee almost no one showing up if you combine the teams in the wrong way.

Either way we are going to face either of the finalists (more or less) ...

My only objections are because (a) it's hard for us to get a team together on time anyway, and (b) when we made a late entry in ladle 40, we ended up playing R, the title holders (thanks to the generosity of Titanoboa :D), ie. no special circumstances were given to us.

I'll ask zat and team to see if they agree or disagree, and if they are all ok, and DS are ok, then we will play earlier.
