Exercise
Exercise
It is important.
How do you like to exercise? How often?
Please include your favorite brand of shoes in your response.
I go running at least 4 times a week (6 times a week during the cross country season).
My favorite brand of shoe is Asics.

I think you're on the wrong forum xD
Re: Exercise
Those are my current shoes as well. I wouldn't go so far as to call them 'favorite brand', but they fit, are durable and keep my feet clean. And free of glass shards. (There aren't that many on my standard course, so I may try running barefoot one day.) And their price didn't feel like I was paying premium for some silly brand image.Lord Pein wrote:My favorite brand of shoe is Asics.
If it's > 287K outside, I go run about 8 km twice a week. Not a fan of thicker training clothes here. Otherwise, I'll just jog in place indoors for half an hour (while playing videogames, natch) pretty much every day I don't go swimming.
Swimming was three times a week before I started that running in place thing, now it's once or twice. Sadly, we don't have a decent pool anywhere right now, the best one should re-open later this year and it's unknown how good it'll be for serious training then. The others are just too crammed with obstacle people most of the time.
And I go everywhere in town by bike.
Re: Exercise
Yoga, almost daily. Running when the weather isn't horrible. Pumas.
Re: Exercise
When I am not lazy I skateboard. I like to wear Nike SB or Osiris.
On very rare occasions I like to go surfing and that does not require any shoes.

Did not understand?LucK wrote:I skateboard
I gym it up 3 times a week (optimally), but I do mainly weights/bulky training, not so much cardio... walk almost everywhere (on average about a km or more a day, the gym is about 2-3 away and I walk that)
And I used to skate, so I was joking, it can be considered some exercise.

This. Also squash (racquetball) most weeks. I was kick boxing every week for a long time but I haven't been since Christmas. That was probably the best cardio I was getting. Do a fair amount of running around at work though.syllabear wrote: I gym it up 3 times a week (optimally), but I do mainly weights
I doubt my choice of shoes is particularly relevant: tatty old Nike Air for the gym, Asics for squash.

Skateboard mostly, not to mention the classic workout methods for a good 30 min+ perhaps.

Re: Exercise

i've played it few times, it's kinda hard at start but gets intense when you get a bit better

I wear non-branded trainers that cost about £10 from the sports outlet ($20ish)
Also, are you using this information for coursework, or some kind of survey?

Re: Exercise
I either ride a bike, or practice the martial arts I've studied. But I haven't worked out since the summer, because I was working that job in the mechanic shop (which has exercise inherent to the work), and now because it's the middle of winter and I keep staying up too late.
No preferred brand of shoes. The martial arts workout requires bare feet, and riding a bike only requires shoes, nothing special.

Re: Exercise
Heh. Exercise.
I don't specifically do it, but I do walk about a mile to the university and another mile back Monday to Friday. I walk to the market on Sundays for shopping, about 1.5 miles round trip.
And I do it all in my New Balances. Shoe of choice for probably about as long as I've been playing Armagetron.

Re: Exercise
Hockey on Wednesday afternoons with coworkers and customers and then a Friday night league as well. Run on the treadmill in the winter as well for conditioning once or twice a week.
Pumas for wearing, Nikes for running.
