server script
My friend who is trying to host an armagetron server needed some help installing a map rotation script, unfortunately I have no knowledge in running a server myself. It says "not found" when trying to access it. Could one of you see what might be wrong? Is there enough info here to determine what to try?

Re: server script
I've no specific knowledge of what you're trying to do, but a vague guess suggests Armagetron isn't installed where it's looking for it.

Re: server script
I do have specific knowledge of the problem. You will need to post a list of the directories that the armagetron binary is stored in and the script is stored in. Also, we need to see the bash script that starts the parser and the parser script as well.

Re: server script
Yes duke, that is one of the problems. The main problem is i deleted some server scripts (trying to download) and I don't know what was deleted. All I know is I deleted 'bin' and some replacable server cfg's.

Re: server script
If you deleted the 'bin' directory, you deleted the server binary, and will need to rebuild it.

I did not create it, to start with. And, 3 servers actually function.

Re: server script
That's only worth something if you started them before you deleted the bin directory. I'd also say you really do need that bin directory.foxx wrote:I did not create it, to start with. And, 3 servers actually function.

Re: server script
You will have to get a 'new' one from wherever you got the original one to begin with.

Re: server script
Well I suspect using the bin package/compiling from scratch can get you where you need to go in the end, but it'll take custom setting up and understanding what all your scripts are doing to get there.

Re: server script
did you delete it from the "aa" folder? Or did you delete the system's bin? I'm guessing you just deleted the one in your local armagetron folder so just login to ftp as root, go to usr/local/ and copy the bin folder to the "aa" folder in /home/dolo/
Re: server script
Okay so is 'local' just like a back up?
P.S It doesn't work, same message. Something wrong with 'scripts'
