I think everyone HAS realized this. Now if only there was some sort of revelation about aliases.Olive wrote:Or people should realize it's not cool to switch teams.

Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
Ok. I took your suggestion and made the bits about servers more concrete. We now have "Rules for players" and "Rules for server owners & operators" I left the bits in the middle about Team Leaders alone because most of that just reiterates the Rules above, and rightfully so because they are damn important.Hoax wrote:Furthermore since the rules overhaul the whole "Things to know" section might as well be re-written to clearly separate rules and guidelines
It's mixed with things that are compulsory (like using official ladle settings and not using customised language strings) and merely recommended, like chosing a trustworthy team leader and points 3 & 7 under "server owners and operators".
Thanks Hoax. Anything else? Anyone?

Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
Question, everyone knows I'm the teamleader for Plus but seeing as idk if I'll be able to make it, I made G5 teamleader. Will I be able to make edits, still?
(maybe I should just make both of us teamleader just incase.. then again I removed myself so editing it now would be against the rules, LOL?)
Okay I removed 2 players who can't make it and made G5 teamleader, please don't ban me, I'm stll the original teamleader.

You should just leave yourself up there as Team Leader along with G5. And you can make any changes until the cutoff, then two changes until an hour before Ladle (as long as it's only you and G5 making them).
And you wouldn't be banned without a lengthy process after lots of drama; even then you might escape punishment.
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
Sorry for not really doing anything. I've been away for the past week so I haven't had any time.sinewav wrote:Hey owned, do you think you could add to that wiki page using with your ideas if you have some time? Maybe you can find us on IRC and we can sort some of this out better.
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
So what is happening?
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
We migrated the new guidelines to the the appropriate spot and renamed them "Regulations". This sort of thing is perpetually incomplete, but it's better than it was. If you feel like something can be said better, go for it. Post it here, make a new section, whatever.owned wrote:So what is happening?
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
I mean with the seeding and other voting.
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
Oh right. Well, the seeding thread dropped dead before a definitive seeding procedure could be reached. What we need is someone to go and write something explaining the procedure in detail, and all the criteria for a team to meet. After that, then we can surely vote on it.owned wrote:I mean with the seeding and other voting.
There really isn't anything else to vote on that I can see.
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
Ok I'll do it.
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
My idea:
Titanoboa's idea:dreadlord wrote:Every ladle team that is not able to start 5/8/10 minutes (to be voted on) after the supposed beginning (for example 17:45 gmt --> 17:53 gmt) is disqualified.
By the way, seeing the end of the summer time soon we should vote on the times for ladle then, too.Titanoboa wrote:We gotta realize that matches don't take 45 minutes anymore. Some (if not most) take more than 1 hour.
Either we make a time limit system or we adjust the time frame on the wiki
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
Ladle times already follow the change in summer time, no need for a vote.dreadlord wrote:By the way, seeing the end of the summer time soon we should vote on the times for ladle then, too.
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
This rule is relevant to what dreadlord said:
I think that it needs to be edited a bit. For example, under this rule, a team can have 6 players already on their team, and when the other team comes in for the match, (after finishing another one that ran late) they can start the game when the other team has only just started joining and has a few players. If an opponent team has not shown up on time and the opponent team is not currently engaged in an earlier scheduled match, then the match can begin even if the opponent team is not full strength. A team can decide to give the opponent team a maximum of 10 minutes to prepare themselves. A forfeit is considered a bye.
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
That's not what is says. This is there to ensure the Ladle starts at a reasonable time, but doesn't apply to teams from the quarter final onward (unless the team in question had a bye the first round). We don't have a rule about players taking too long to switch servers yet.owned wrote:This rule is relevant to what dreadlord said:I think that it needs to be edited a bit. However, I think discovered an area that needs attention owned. Maybe we can add, "After the opening rounds, players may take no longer than 10 minutes between finals to organize themselves."
Yes?
Re: New Ladle Rules (Split from Lade 37 discussion)
I would just add the bolded part. Just make it clear that the first rule has to do with the opening round while the second rule has to do with all following rounds.sinewav wrote:That's not what is says.
