DVAS vs PRU
HMM olives super secret team!(probably has free_kill and etc etc)
I have a feeling pru is going to try but I don't think its enough to beat the DVAS DVAS(2) PRU(1)
UNA VS uNk
Lovely little match up.
uNk has sine.wav which he'll hold the def while uNk has very very good attackers.
UNA is just going to get walked all over on uNk(2)UNA(0)
Ct vs Plus
I don't see INW or Liz playing for plus(atleast their names are not on the roster)
Don't know if Plus will be able to win this one. Ct(2) Plus(1)
TX2 vs dBd

SPD vs Open Team
This match will be taking place in CT USA :]
Majority of that team complains about lag in USA servers.
Also we're just going to run circles around them.
IM GOING TO CRUSH YOU ORION!!! Open Team(2)SPD(0)
TX1 vs Rogue
Sorry TX1 , you're nothing like TX2.
Rogue easily wins this.
(sorry liza ) Rogue(2) TX1(0)
Tu vs DS
After reviewing both rosters, I believe DS has this one(sorry Tu)
BUT for Tu to win this, they're going have to play GREAT.
IF they're on their game, I believe Tu can take this match.
But I just think DS will pull this one through. DS(2)Tu(1)
Speeders vs ID
Sorry ID but Speeders are going to win. Speeders(2)ID(0)
Quarter Finals
DVAS vs uNk
This match will be taking place in a USA server.
I believe that some of the DVAS might be at a disadvantage,
Also so will uNk for some of their players.
uNk will have to do the impossible.
I don't see them pulling through tho. DVAS(2)uNk(0)
Ct vs TX2
Got a final match in the QF?!
This match should be interesting!!
I can see TX2 pulling a win if their whole roster shows up.
Im going with my gut feeling and saying TX2 gots this. TX2(2)Ct(1)
Open Team vs Rogue
We have the advantage with the server location!
Really the only threat I see from this team is lacka and Titan.
Oh well! We'll be showing them whos boss Open Team(2)Rogue(1)
DS vs Speeders

Semi-Finals
DVAS vs TX2
TX2 catches a break with the server location.
If TX2 plays their best, and Durka is playing....
TX2 wins this. TX2(2)DVAS(1)
Open Team vs Speeders
TBH we're going to play our hearts out.
even tho I don't think it will be enough to beat Speeders. Speeders(2)Open team(1)
FINALS
TX2 vs Speeders
I believe TX2 is going to win this ladle!
They're going to be playing their hardest!
Speeders won't stand a chance TX2(2)Speeders(0)
I had some hopes that the brackets may by chance resemble those from Ladle 34, as that would be a fantastic way to set up what may be the last ever non-seeded ladle.
Unfortunately, that didn't occur. Many "underdog teams" will find themselves kicking the bucket early on, most getting eliminated in the first round - and the few that make it by, getting eliminated in the second round.
By Round 3, only the traditional Power Houses will still be in play.
Round 1: DVAS 2 Pru 0 uNa 2 uNk 1 CT 2 Plus 0 TX2 2 dbd 0 SPD 2 Open Team 1 TX1 2 R 0 DS 2 Tu 0 SP 2 ID 0
Round 2: DVAS 2 uNa 1 CT 2 TX2 1 TX1 2 SPD 1 SP 2 DS 0
yeah, according to Luffy it's the R team. but neither you nor i know who will show up for pru this time, so i think the outcome of this match will be completely dependent on the final roster of each team.
Its that time of month again, and with the brackets freshly up, and one set of predictions already out (by the time of me writing this), I thought I'd give it another shot and see if I can't just predict a winner this time...
Opening Round Deadly Viper Assassination Squad vs PlzResUs
The group of 'Freelancer' players returning under yet another name, DVAS, led by olive, but with it's other players unknown to me, take on another very full, and potentially the strongest PRU team yet. Although they haven't been warring as much as before last ladle, I'm sure PRU will put up a strong fight in this opening round matchup, and with a few US players pitted against what I am presuming to be a majority EU team, they'll probably have server advantage too.
However, with ladle 36's opening-round early exit by a similar team last time (IB falling to Speeder's tricky move), they won't be anything but focused on winning, and with a major skill advantage, I think it'll be a quick opening match.
Result: DVAS 2 - PRU 0
United Noobs of Armagetron vs Unknown
Unfortunately for UNA, their all-USA membered team will not give them even a server advantage in their first round battle against an all-star lineup in the form of team UNK. With additions of sine.wav and slash backing up their already strong defencive half, this UNK team will be a tough one to beat for any experienced clans or teams.
Having seen firsthand from last ladle, one advantage may be that UNA probably have got more practice in recently, and may be playing more as a team. However, with individual skill and a server advantage firmly with UNK, I think this draw will be over pretty quickly.
Result: UNK 2 - UNA 0
Crazy Tronners vs Plus+
This will definately be an interesting match to watch, given plus's impressive performance in the last ladle (making it to the semi's). On the other side of the field is a very full CT team, who will be able to pick and choose their best players to deal with the USA server, while plus's limited lineup will be forced to play all of their members who show up, with a notable exclusion of gawdzilla (liz) on their roster meaning they will have to go without their best player as well.
After their loss last ladle to arch-enemies, the speeder clan in the finals, I think CT will be even more determined than ever to show "who's boss", and will quickly make short-work of this plus+ team, incapacitated without their leader
Result: CT 2 - Plus+ 0
Twixted Xats 2 vs Death by Distraction
The 'main' TX team could hardly have asked for a better first round draw this ladle (although their proximity to CT and DVAS may be some cause for concern). I don't really think there's much to say here. I doubt dbd will show with a full team, and even if they do, it'll be mainly (all) USA players, just giving every advantage to the part-EU membered TX team, while playing in an EU server. Wow, only one paragraph for this one
Result: TX2 2 - dbd 0
SPeeDers vs Open Team
In my opinion, this might be one of the most equally-matched battles of the tournament. Then again, I am often wrong. Made up of some of the non-forters from the Speeders clan, as well as a few non Speeders to make a full team, SPD is the weaker of the two teams submitted by the clan, and have not too much experience playing together. Open Team on the other hand has, and will have virtually no experience playing together, being made of a potluck of non-clanners, and those without another team.
This OT definately isn't as strong as the one from last ladle, and with new rules about new members joining after signups for ladle has closed, they may not get much stronger. I forsee potential infighting between certain elements of this team to further damage them, even if they manage to get off to a good start against SPD, who should stick firm under some experienced leadership by magic.
Result: SPD 2 - OT 1
Twixted Xats 1 vs Rogue
This matchup nearly has me stumped, but I'll give it a go... I'll start off by saying I don't think the server will play a huge part in this match, since most are used to playing in a G5 server, and theres a fair mix of players on both teams. However, rogue's recent addition of Concord - who has been working to overcome his rustyness - and Lackadaisical to their rota (although only Concord officially joined the clan) means they have a formidable squad, Monkey presumably providing a strong defence and Titan heading up attack.
TX on the other hand has a fair bit more experience working as a team (although raph is a new addition), so might have a bit of an edge there. Rogue may also find a few of their strong-minded members normally used to leading a team may end up butting heads on strategies and such. However, I think this fast-improving ex-ctf clan will manage to pull it together enough to overcome their opponents, in what may promise to be yet another thrilling first-round match
Result: R 2 - TX 1
Tronners United vs Dark Syndicate
Theroze, who has been helping me with predictions thusfar, has now ditched me, just when I needed him most... So I'll have to be as non-biased as possible all by myself :S. OK, so server advantage to Tu for sure, although DS has proved they can play fairly in USA servers with a win over UNA recently. And I like the look of this skrnvs guy, even if he is from South America. And DS have been playing as a team far longer than Tu.
On the other side of the boat, DS is one of the teams that Tu has a chance of actually beating, especially in a USA server. If they get the members to show on the day, they are in with a shot, if they can stay focused and work together. If not, I think it might be over quickly. DS are more likely to win, but Tu are still in with a shot
Result: DS 2 - Tu 1
Speeders vs Immortal Dynasty
I don't think ID have anything going for them in this matchup... server - nope, teamwork - nope, individual skill - nope. Perhaps they can take hope in that SP only have 7 players, and if one or two don't show up, this could hurt them, although ID only have 8 themselves... Or maybe that SP underestimate them and go easy. However I think that SP would have to go really easy to lose this one. Oh look another one-paragrapher
Result: SP 2 - ID 0
Quarterfinals Hmm at this point it looks like the second predictions has already been posted, so I better get a move on...
Deadly Viper Asssassination Squad vs Unknown
Unlucky for UNK, they have come up against one of the teams spurned in the previous ladle, and who are looking for vengeance. With a potential meet in the final with Speeders, DVAS will be giving it their all, and despite the additions to UNK, their skill is probably outmatched by the DVAS team. That being said, I have no idea who's on the team, it may just be olive and 5 imaginary friends.
UNK may have a shot due to their new members, and probable server advantage (speculation is that DVAS is mainly EU, while UNK fields a few strong USA players, including sine.wav and wildcat, and even mkay, if he's not sucking). No matter, even if they might have a bit more teamwork, and slight server advantage, DVAS will steamroll through UNK in their quest for ladle vengeance.
Result: DVAS 2 - UNK 0
Crazy Tronners vs Twixted Xats 2
A strong CT team vs a strong TX team... in the quarterfinals? Unfortunately for quite a few, they'll miss out on what promises to be a spectacular match, since they'll be busy playing their own quarterfinal matches... Hopefully seeding will solve this problem!
However, there are chinks in the armor of both teams: TX has a notorious history of members not showing up for ladles and matches, which can affect their performance, depending on who and how many are missing. They can also get into arguments, with a few hotheads amongst their ranks, causing them to lose focus, leading to lost matches. CT on the other hand may be without an obvious defender. With Voodoo absent from the rota, and Dreadlord informing us of his abscence, they may have to put Dmmy in defence, who, although a great defender, means he won't be able to sweep or attack.
For CT to win this one, they'll have to have all their set pieces playing well, and if any TX are absent or get angry, that'll help too. With vengeance also on their agenda (though not as much as DVAS for these mellow tronners), it might provide further motivation. Whoever the winner, this will definately be an epic battle. I'll give the edge to CT this time, but don't be surprised if I'm wrong...
Result: CT 2 - TX 1
SPeeDers vs Rogue
Both teams will have fought hard to reach the quarters already, but rogue will have fought harder. Although they'll be fresh off a nice, hard earned victory, they'll probably also be quite drained. No matter, I think the bonding from the win will help them pull together, while the SPD team will become intimidated by the new players on R's roster.
Although SPD might get a few early rounds in after having a bit more of a rest, once R get into a rhythm and start working on SPD's weaknesses, as well as having a nice server advantage for a few of their members, it won't be long till R have their first place in a ladle semifinal!
Result: R 2 - SPD 0
Dark Syndicate vs Speeders
DS will probably be relieved to be returning to a European server after being frustrated in their first battle, but I doubt they'll be relieved to meet SP in their quarter final matchup. By now, SP will be a mechanical force, moving solidly towards it's one goal: ladle victory. Having already been given one easy opponant in ID, they'll be happy to face yet another in their second round, while their main opponents are pitted against each other in the top half of the bracket.
DS might be able to pull a few rounds back, if they can work as a team, and if SP are getting lax. But they won't be, as they'll be trudging their way towards the semifinals, and no amount of DS teamwork will stop them
Result: SP 2 - DS 0
Semifinals Phew, nearly there, just 3 more matches to chronical, although they look like they'll need some chronicalling... is that a word? I am also fed up of typing out DVAS's full name. Please pick shorter ones in the future.
Deadly Viper Assassination Squad vs Crazy Tronners
My oh my, yet another fantastic showdown, and its still not the finals yet! If what little information about them I have is correct, DVAS should have made their way to the semi-finals relatively unchallenged. CT on the other hand have already had a very tough showdown, and are now faced with a team thats in exactly the right place: Not stupidly easy wins, but wins that give them both team-practice and adrenaline, as well as motivation that they are doing well.
CT on the other hand will probably be drained after their bout with TX, and I doubt their thirst for vengeance with SP is as great as some of DVAS's members might be... what can I say, I'm gonna have to go against my old clan here, despite their possible server advantage. Teamwork will not save the day after their skill has been all used up. It'll definately be a close one though, although I'm not sure which semifinal to watch
Result: DVAS 2 - CT 1
Rogue vs Speeders
Rogue have done very well to get as far as they have, for a team so new to fortress. Hopefully the experience so far will be a learning one for some of their members who haven't had as much practice in ladles as their opponents in SP have. However, even with several fortress-hardened members, they will lack a certain coordination, and a certain desire that SP have.
With a little luck, they'll manage to win the odd round, but it won't be as common as SP, and with server advantage, unfortunately, they are in another league. On SP's side, they have had a comparatively easy route so far, and although R will pose more a of a challenge than they have received so far, I think it will only give them ideal preparation for the finals.
Oh and R has to face two SP teams in a row? Who wants to do that?
SP 2 - R 0
Finals Wow you are still reading this?
DVAS vs Speeders
Well this will be a similar showdown to the one in the first round of last ladle, except that DVAS won't have any excuse about SP's underhanded tactics (but I won't get into that here). Unfortunately, they will have the excuse of having a slightly harder route, with CT possibly draining them somewhat in the semis. Although, someone once said, whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, possibly DVAS will be just as elated and pumped after their win over CT as SP will after their win over R.
Unfortunately, it's hard to pick a winner since I don't know for certain who the members of DVAS are, except for olive, and also that freekill isn't one. Doesn't really help much though. I'm pretty certain it'll be 1-1 at some point, but depending on who's playing, server advantage could be either way, player skill could be either way, and team coordination could be either way.
So I'm gonna say DVAS on sheer determination to get revenge for L36, with SP probably complaining about smurf names afterwards.
Result: DVAS 2- 1.
But no matter what happens, this is gonna be a fun ladle, so lets all give it our best, and show the rest of the community how far fort has come!
GL HF!

DVAS vs PRU
Olive's freelancer team, but without the familiar KoD players. A lot of fortress veterans still make the core of the team and they take an easy win over pru.
DVAS(2) PRU(0)
UNA VS uNk
uNk has improved a lot in the past couple of months. Their organization and new additions will take them to the next round easily.
uNk(2) UNA(0)
Ct vs Plus
Plus has lost Liz and spin, and they are probably not organized at all. Ct breezes by them onto the 2nd round.
Ct(2) Plus(0)
TX2 vs dBd
Easy win for Tx.
TX2(2) dBd(0)
SPD vs Open Team
This open team has some good players, but SPD will be able to take the match without too much effort.
Open Team(1) SPD(2)
TX1 vs Rogue
Both Tx1 and Rogue contain new additions to the team that may help decide this match. The txers have been playing together a lot lately, and will be able to get past rogue on their way to the 2nd round.
Rogue(1) TX1(2)
Tu vs DS
The DS squad contains some very good players who will lead the team past Tu onto the 2nd round.

Speeders vs ID
Even though Iders have been improving, speeders is way too far out of their league.
Speeders(2) ID(0)
Quarter Finals
DVAS vs uNk
With the new Freelancers squad, organization may be a bit of an issue. I see uNk winning a match before the skill of the DVAS team win the 2nd and 3rd matches.
DVAS(2) uNk(1)
Ct vs TX2
I don't think some of the ct players have played as much as the txers on this team. We've even seen Durka have his most active month in awhile. Even though the tx oldies might be a little rusty, they will still be able to get past ct on the way to the semis.
TX2(2) Ct(1)
Open Team vs Tx1
Tx1 is a little too organized to let SPD sneak a match in.
Tx1(2) SPD(0)
DS vs Speeders
Ds will not be able to get past the tough speeders team.
Speeders(2) DS(0)
Semi-Finals
DVAS vs TX2
I think that the disorganization of olive's team will lead to their downfall on this side of the bracket. Tx2 takes advantage and moves on to the finals.
TX2(2) DVAS(1)
Tx1 vs Speeders
This looks like the speeders best squad, but I haven't seen them play that much as a team(or individually). On the other hand, the tx1 players have become very active and will be able to get past the speeders team on the way to a tx vs. tx finals. (I'm not biased!)
Speeders(1) Tx1(2)
FINALS
Tx2 vs Tx1
A possible tx vs. tx finals. How great would that be? With both teams knowing the others' players and each others' tactics, it will be tough to find a winner. I'm going to go with the team that has been more active, and the one that doesn't have two old, rusty players. Tx1 wins the ladle.
Tx2(1) Tx1(2)
