How about TX Ladle? Maybe we can use it as a backup in an emergency. I originally made the brackets with the TX server until gene suggested otherwise. Should we decide a cutoff time for an emergency switch?

I don't think the TX Ladle server is up right now. If we need a backup, there is the PlsResUs! server, but it's not a US server. We actually had the same issue last Ladle (not enough US servers).

If the Velocity server isn't ready when I'm doing the stats checklist a few hours before the start, then I'll make the switch.

I'm concerned as to why Flex has switched two teams on the Challenge Board.

In my opinion, Flex has violated the Ladle Guidelines. It's disappointing that an issue like this has been created, especially by a player who recently complained about the declining state of Ladle values and fair-play. We shouldn't tolerate blatant tampering of the Challenge Board.

Another example that we may need precise guidelines - at least for me it is not really clear what is allowed when editing the challenge board and what is not. More important at the moment, what do we do now? The logical step for me would be, that the teams get changed back as to what they were before the modification.

I don't recall ever having been signed up for any team (nor most of my teammates) and Orion is still the captain. So that doesn't consitute as "switching the teams" imo.

I can see why dlh would be upset, but people had us losing to CT so you should beat us easy right? Also sylla, all that has happened has created two more even matches, in my opinion, although many will disagree and say that we will get owned by KoD, and us versus PRU is an even match (looking at Sylla and tremor's predictions ).

Should be: Once a player has been signed up for a team, they cannot play for another team. If they were wrongly signed up by someone to a team they did not wish to play for, that person signing them up is banned from this and the next ladle.


Ins: Every single person on the "Speeders" team has been switched, so has flex. Maybe we should ban all these players from this ladle. Then you can have the setup you wish (minus flex) at the expense of your friends/clanmates?

And how the hell is it up to you to decide whats a fair matchup? Maybe I want to play against dbd or Vecolity first? Not going to happen, because I don't get to decide that! Nor do you!

Dread this is arguably easier for CT and Tx, as you guys have the 'worse' speeder team in your bracket, while IB have to face the stronger one in the preliminary round.

So it might be a CT-SPD, CT-IB, Tx-SPD or Tx-IB finals now.

why do we have to discuss this? the best two teams will enter the finals. Both SP teams don't win if they don't beat the best other teams sooner or later.

Why are you so concerned? Perhaps you should bring up the issue during quarterly voting. There's no rule that says I can't decide to promote someone else to the captain of my team and join another team. Quite ironic that you reference that last ladle thread and even have the balls to claim I've violated none existing rules. I guess when you renamed your last ladle team players which were just binary numbers to player names it was still OK in your eyes.

Some intense claims here! Exactly when did I add players to that team when I signed up? Exactly what players have I switched? Exactly which players have played for any teams so far? I won't be replying till you quote me on where it says in the guidelines that I can't do this. I've written some of the guidelines myself and I even pushed for some things to be added so next time you want to complain, don't bend rules yourself.

syllabear - You seriously need to shut up - you're quite annoying. Claiming it's an "easier" bracket for the sake of it clearly points out you are just nothing but gas. Players have been switching teams just before the Ladle since it almost began. I've not switched anybody in Speeders because there was no players in Speeders to begin with. Nor have I switched captains, but simply given someone else captain of my team. And how the hell is it up to you to decide whats team players are in? You don't know nothing.

Exactly what Word said. It's our choice and it's not as if there's really any issue. May the best team win. And in actuality, we've made the brackets quite even - in my eyes.
