I've voted against Spain winning the cup the entire time because they have a history of choking in major world cup matches even with a great team coming into the tournament. Now though, their opponent Netherlands also has the same problem. For the first time, I think Spain is going to win the whole thing.

Wow, everyone sucked, there were tons of dives, tons of fouls, and a scoreless 115 minutes. I think that was the worst world cup final I've ever seen.

The flying kick to the chest made up for some of it though

If Holland would've won with one man down (or three men down if the ref had seen all situations properly), I wonder if the football community would discuss whether it's unfair to play 8v11, with an advantage for the 8 for whatever reason... :D ... Much like the discussion after a recent WST and what not.

As for the flying kick I'm sure he has more kung-fu tricks where that came from.

Spain played better football overall and deserved the win. Iniesta was the most noticable player and I was hoping he'd get to score a goal, but I'd have preferred if he hadn't waited so long :D

I agree, Spain played better from the start. Netherlands did okay after halftime but they messed up on their opportunities, oh well.. at least another team won the cup for the first time. Can't complain either, best 2 of the world. : D
