hey, I think you can put the invulnerability off...
this blinking pencil gets me tired...
but:

CYCLE_BRAKE 50.0
(allows to stop the cycle, and pause...)

CYCLE_RUBBER_MINDISTANCE .1
(The minimal distance rubber code keeps cycles from walls)

CYCLE_BLINK_FREQUENCY ...
(maybe can help our eyes)

sorry guys...i have been away from this forum for about a week...
my internet connection was down for 3 days. I have been moving TheServerPharm to entirely new Virtual Private Servers that needed setup. And I still am doing work to get the new FFF tourney running. In the next day or two, i will be migrating the TheServerPharmEU servers to a better Virtual Private Server hosted in the UK. After that, my first priority will be further development on the armagetronart server. However Mike, i will try to implement the changes you suggested tonight. I will post in this thread to let you know when the changes have been made. Thank you for your suggestions and continued patience. Sorry for the long delays.

hmmm cant you delete the invulnerability ?
it will not be buggy, and we can test the server with several drqwers...
and this blinking pencil is really tiring for eyes, then for brain...
or Can i do it if you don't have time ?

One year later...I am asking for suggestions. I will be working on this server some more in the next few weeks. I am interested to hear what you guys think would be the best settings for a server custom cam. With the advent of Tron2Origins, I intend to create a new version Lightcyle Art, with a new map, etc.

still working on it on my side...
you did'nt answer me in PM about admining drqwing server...

I created a xml map, 4 players, 4 boxes.
between each box, corridors, and at each side of map, a deathzone for suicide (erase drawing)
I also included game settings there (<Setting name=...>)
oh i forgot this one : CYCLE_DELAY 0.01 (important for drawing curves)

i'd like a respawn system but I don't know how...

with this map, i tested some camera views, here is my best :
rise : 60
back : 0
pitch : -30

questions ? :)

I'd like to bump the idea about using spawned zones as part of the art, particularly since they can be colored... however that requires privs. Maybe one could delegate zone spawning to remote user privs :o

Are you speaking about RGB codes in "SPAWN_ZONE" from crazy tronners ?
it can't reach all colors... well in my tests i could only get 6 different colors, others color codes are not allowed...

privs = ?
a remote user could create a zone by hitting a key ?
or could hide trail for a moment and retrieve it ?
i think this is more important : pen up, pen down

I am now just getting caught up with the backlog of work I have been doing. Once I have setup a resource repository to host settings and maps, I will be getting the settings setup. Once I move the server to my new servers in Pennsylvania and have upgraded my European server, I will get the Armagetronart server setup to be able to be more actively worked on by the community. I am just very backlogged with TR2NOrigins servers that I am creating from scratch, and a bunch of Server hosting issues.

After an absence of about a year and a half, it's back!

I implemented all the changes requested in this topic, except respawning and the new map. Those will be implemented after I setup my private resource repository and decide exactly how to implement the respawning. I would like to make the development of this server an ongoing collaboration, and I look forward to seeing new works from you artistes extraordinarre.
