Centre messages aren't as clear as saying "STARTING NEXT ROUND!" or "STARTING NOW!" when there's constant chat messages being spammed. Centre messages being long and tiny, with a short delay due to the round ending/starting messages above them.
I did that too

That's why I did both =)
I didn't use /admin say, but talked directly... but my name was in red "cT¤K-Yo [ADMIN]"

But it didn't happen just once; it happened two more times in the semi-finalsþsy wrote:Saying that, it only happened once and didn't affect the outcome of the match whatsoever, so no damage done!

Ah, yes, I forgot to mention this. Word wanted to restart only because Concord hadn't shown up in time for the start of the match. The match was officially supposed to start at 20:50 and K-Yo did a good job giving us warnings, eventually starting it at about 20:51. Concord came in late, so it is obvious that Word wanted a restart, regardless of whether or not he saw the "IT'S STARTING NEXT ROUND" messages.Concord wrote:I came in after the first round and the match had started, by time the time I joined Gold and got my bearings it was already the 3rd round and seemed too late to change anything.
If you participate in a tournament, it is your responsibility to know what the rules are. Nonetheless, we destroyed that first match (960-430-300) and considering the fact that we almost won the prior 2 matches (moonflower and bubblegum being the only team to beat us), we most likely would have won the next match as well, if the rules were what you thought they were.Cody <3 wrote:Only thing is that it seemed that (too me anyway) that a lot of people were confused by semi finals
heres what I thought after getting told how it works. First team gets to 2, sits out and the other 3 teams then go at it. at this point i thought well after first team wins 2 matches, thats game and they sit out and a new game starts(0-0-0) leading for the first 2 to win over the 3 teams(seems fair) well that wasn't the case and we lost the semi finals

me and xyron were both unclear that the 1-2-0-0 stayed 1-0-0 after team bubblegum and moonflower left. I thought it goes to 0-0-0 and xyron thought we were all out XD

You can hit console and type "say /admin round_center/console_message" and it will have unlimited length.K-Yo wrote:SPAM_MAXLEN 200 (short messages are annoying when you need to type more, or when you want to display results in round_center/console_message)
No, I didn't say they entitle me to anything. And, I don't want to get in an argument over something silly, but all I meant was, there comes a point where you can't just validate a player's victory because of "luck" when they've proven, with their skill, to come out on top again and again. Saying that you "clashed with your teammate" and died or "ran into the other team's wall" or "everyone died" doesn't mean that we luckily won. We didn't die for a reason, and it wasn't luck. Concord mentioned how not knowing who I was affected the way he played. Maybe all this dying from the other teams was a result of intimidation. I mean, whenever I see madmax/Lack/SageLord/etc. speeding at me, I tend to do stupid shit. The only "luck" I saw in the tournament was one round in the finals when the server had a huge lag bomb and everyone's ping spiked like crazy. It seemed like everyone was paused for a few seconds. When the lag bomb cleared, Lizmatic was the only one still alive, and she even acknowledged the luck she had.Flex wrote:I call that luck and don't act like it wasn't. So your previous TST wins entitles you to win all future events without luck? I'll remember that.

Wut? That was pure sk1llz.
(But not really, next time get better servers because this sucked.)

I was not late, I heard someone needed a replacement and joined thereafter. So...
And wait, didn't you win?

Sigh isn't sumo 70% skill 30% luck. So to complain about someone getting "lucky" is like complaining about someone playing sumo :\ This reminds me of when someone said durka was winning the "easy" way by closing himself in and camping it if you don't like how sumo works don't play....

8 players in 1 zone means you have to gather as much space at the start as possible. However, I got most of my kills by escaping from the box and going on the attack.LucK wrote:This reminds me of when someone said durka was winning the "easy" way by closing himself in and camping it if you don't like how sumo works don't play....
