This has happened so many times that it's more of an anticipated problem. Most of these 'hacking's' of our forum have happened far before your time.
So, to answer your question, no, I'm not even breaking a sweat. Well I actually am cuz I'm watching House as I eating these Tyson's Boneless Spicy Chicken Wings that are just hot as a mofo. They're wicked good though.

Its greatly disappointing that this has come to this level. I thought that the community as a whole was better than all this, and that we had all matured enough to behave.

Reason enough for many. Your clan leader is, at the very least, a liar and vandal. A destroyer of property. He has drawn other clan members into his little schemes and will do it again. Accept that by following a rogue, many people will have problems with you just because of that and will not want to have to do anything with you.

Its incredible how much an individual's actions can effect the image of a group, and more incredible still how other clan members' actions effect your image.

By joining a clan, you accept any baggage, both good and bad, associated with the clan. So if you join a clan whose leader is believed by many to be, as Z-Man mentioned, a liar, vandal, and destroyer of property, you must accept the fact that your leader's actions, both present and past, have great effect on you. If you act negatively towards others, they will not only take what you have done to them and dislike you, but will also take anything else associated with the clan that you belong to and add that to the pile. And then, lets say, your leader does something in addition to whatever has caused someone to dislike you. They pile that on top of their existing disliking.

Now, lets say our victim suddenly encounters some unknown wearing your clan's tags. Because of the bad experience, they will automatically, so to speak, put their guard up. They paint this negative image associated with you and/or your clan on this unknown. So then this victim meets another member of your clan, except this time the victim is familiar with this member. All of a sudden, the victim's level of respect for this known member decreases, and friendliness declines as well. Let this play out, and this is what causes your clan to effect your reputation. People will always argue that they aren't superficial and that this theory does not apply to them.

The moral of this post is essentially a warning to all parties involved that they should take great care in how they act and who they act towards, as their reputation is based fully upon others' experiences with them. Do not forget that, even though this is the internet and your words are transmitted through text, your words have tone, depending on how you punctuate, how quickly you send messages, and how often you send them, that once you send your words, there is no taking them back.

The best way to put it is to simply think before you send. Think about how it sounds through text that does not contain pitch, definite cadence, and expression. Think about how it sounds to someone who doesn't know you, and how it sounds to someone who hates you. Then think about whether or not it could cause controversy. THEN, finally, send the message.

I haven't been active for a while, but I am up to date with the current "drama."
I'm not looking for a fight as it's proven to be a losing battle for the last year a half.
I wish you guys would have a little more decency than to post screen shots from our Administator section on public forums. Obviously I'm unaware of how you obtained the screenshot's, nor do I care. Over the years I've pretty much accepted the fact that you can't stand being without the ID forum so you find ways to gain access to our inner forums. All I'm asking is that you allow us to have a forum. You probably don't feel like we have the right to talk behind your backs, but we do. You may call it childish, immature, or sissy...but anyway you spin it, it's still our (or supposed to be our) private forum where we're allowed to talk about anything. I'm sure we sound like a broken record by now when we talk about the original ID forums deletion, but there's no way around it; it happened. Some may argue that it's out of someone's own stupidity that they gave out their password, but I still don't see how that called for the destruction of our forums. For a lot of us, the ID forums were (well maybe not here but for me it was ) our first forums and after they got deleted it was a big blow to our clan so I'm sorry that our inside topics are filled with a lot of VcL hate...but..i mean...come on. If I had Code's password to the VcL forums...I would probably read all the sections (hell yeah lol), but I would feel like too much of a d*** if I plastered their admin/mod sections all over ANY forum. Also, I wouldn't delete their forums. Even if I wanted to do these things, I have respect for clans in this game. All of these screen shots that people are posting are topics that you aren't allowed to have access to, so I'm asking that you respect our private forums.

It is still in your private section (I have no idea how people are getting into those sections either), but you are still saying it. It actually makes it even worse that you have to hide it; it only proves the point that TaZ made a while back about Arilou being fake. You guys are nice to people in game and what, or at least try to be; but you are not showing what you really feel about them, on your forums you try to bring other clans down. Destroying the tron community is something nobody wants. I encourage everyone to stop being idiots.

I'm sorry Evan, I respect your opinion but I completely disagree with judging clan members depending on the actions of other members and/or leaders. It's not acceptable and it is not an okay thing to do. If you or anyone else believes it to be so then that's seriously messed up.

Everyone makes mistakes, everyone trolls, everyone has altercations. Why must we dwell on the issues of the past and create new drama every month based on the same old bs from the past? There is no reason for it, no matter which way you look at it.

People want to play the game and have fun, after all that's what games are for. If a person gets on arma or on any of the forums to cause trouble, whether it be in private or otherwise, then that person needs to grow up.

I refuse to hate VcL because of their actions in the past. I refuse to hate all ID members because I have a problem with Arilou. So accusations against me are completely misguided. I guarentee you that if I took screenshots of degree members section you would see no malicious posts about anyone or any clan. If one post made by someone outside of our clan is reason enough to boycott the clan, then fair enough, but I highly doubt it is.

This ID vs VcL crap has been going on since I can remember. The bottom line is, I am so sick and tired of the constant bickering. I wasn't even involved untill Arilou involved me. So excuse me if I seem as though I am speaking out of line. If anyone finds out people are talking behind their backs they're going to speak up about it, it's human nature. So I wont appologise for what I have said, I see no reason to do so. All I want from this is an appology from Arilou, not to me, because I couldn't care less if he hates me. I want him to appologise to degree. They have nothing to do with this, nor do they want to have anything to do with it. The only people in degree who are even remotely involved in this whole palava is me and liz. So I refuse to accept the disrespect our clan is recieving from Arilou. Before it goes further and spreads to the midns of the rest of ID I would like to clear this up once and for all;

degree clan as a whole never has, does not now and never will give a damn about this bullshit drama. So leave them out of it.

Thank you, dubStep, for being the first person to create a thoughtful reply to my post. I must make a clarification to the idea I was getting towards, though.

Its not so much that its a direct relationship between your clan's reputation and your own reputation as much as your clan's reputation influences your own reputation. It does not take it to the extremes where someone will hate you because of your reputation alone. Those that will are the shallow-minded fools who best exemplify what I said in my previous post.

Image is everything, and most of the people who read this will disagree with it. But, it is a sad truth that image determines respect.

As for the drama, and this talk of going on and on and on with this... :S dub, I think this is the time where you should follow my lead as I leave this conversation. Degree is innocent and has not been wronged. The only thing hurting it now is your continued (and rather antagonistic :S ) involvement in this matter that was supposed to be strictly between Ninja and ID.

So I recently created an account on ID forums and it needed admin "confirmation". I applied under "Azuma" because that's the name I've been using and so I checked forums this morning and I had been rejected by the administrator. The admin meaning Arilou. I sent him an email saying that I was friends with almost all of the ID members and that I have never harassed an ID member. I also told him that I was Ninja and that I would remake the account and that he should take his "rejection" into consideration.

I checked the forums this morning and this is what appeared.

"You have been permanently banned from this board.

Please contact the Board Administrator for more information.

A ban has been issued on your IP address."

Since I'm studying for finals could someone in game or on their forums ask him about it? I have not done anything wrong although I'm 99.9% positive that he just did it because I'm in VcL. I have not been apart of any clan disputes or abusing of ID members. In fact, I get along well with a bunch of them like Plate and INW for example.

Evan, there are two reasons why I am even still in this topic; because of what has been said about degree. It, quite frankly, pisses me off. I'm not going to deny that. Secondly because of the way in which certain people are dictating who should and should not talk to certain people, where they should and should not play etc. Regardless of whether or not it directly affects me, as a member of this community I openly disagree with this kind of behaviour. The sad thing is the members of ID who have a problem with this, can't even speak out about it.. So I am.

Edit: furthermore, I hate that this is on arma forums as I've even moaned about drama like this in the past being here. But we cannot post on ID forums, that's the sad truth about it. Tyler you said there's nothing wrong with talking in a civilised manner, yet we are literally forbidden to do so in a less public way. This topic has escalated so quickly within the space of a few hours. This should kind of show you how much of a problem it is becomming. If you actually want a solution to this problem, then please do what you suggest and tell Arilou that bitching behind people's backs and/or forbidding members to talk to any of us is not going to be the solution.

I'm pretty sure the last thing any of you want is to tarnish the reputation of your own clans, and I hope that you do not want to deliberately tarnish the reputations of other clans. None of us here are children, so there kind of isn't any excuse for there not to be a resolution that doesn't involve banning people, kicking them from servers, deleting forum accounts or making snide comments in servers when you happen to cross paths.
