I made my map with Armabell. How do i fregging play it!!

been like 3(EDIT)6 months since ive made my racing map and i still got the slightest clue with what to do with this stuff. i used the map tools and "supposedly" turned it into a aamap which i dont think this is.
This is what came up when i turned it into an aamap.

You need to fill the above line in and place your map in ../resource/author/category/name-version.aamap.xml

It looks like you've set version = 0.0.2 and name = Racetrack (when you named the file), just fill in those spaces in the <Resource> tag. You also need to fill in the author (Dehato) and the category (racing?).

Then, to play the map, set map_file author/category/name-version.aamap.xml (which in your case will probably be map_file Dehato/racing/Racetrack-0.0.2.aamap.xml

The Resource bit should look more like this:
<Resource type="aamap" name="Racetrack" version="0.0.2" author="Dehato" category="Racing">

Also, just to be sure, it's all case-sensitive. So don't put it in a folder called "racing" if you put "Racing" as category, or vice versa. If it works it's because your file system is case-insensitive, but that doesn't mean it'll work if you send it to somebody with a case-sensitive file system.

Ok. I just put it in a txt. cuz idk how to make it an XML, and i named it Racetrack Docs.
Now what do i have to do to play it? Like how do i get the map file..
Oh and just to be sure.... What the heck do i do with this stuff.

Already been linked to indirectly by sinewav, you really need to read through this page.
If it doesn't make sense read through it again till it does.
Most questions you will have are already answered there and on linked pages.

If you are having a problem with a specific part, ask again specific questions. You will be lucky to find someone to do all of the work for you.

And that ruby error you had on the maptools page was most likely because your map xml was badly formed - which you could fix when you understand that linked page in the wiki.

Map making can be a lot of fun, and it's really not that difficult once you understand the basics. Good Luck

Once again i fail.. i donbt understand what are the field settings or the field layout. and am i supposed to type the codes of wall points zones etc. or does it do it by itself i dont remember using armabell and it showing coordinates or the degrees for that stuff..

If you're familiar with Crazy Tronners Wild Fortress you can view all its maps here.
It will also show you the xml code that makes up each map. Study the xml and look at the coresponding map image. This will help you learn from CT's mistakes

I would link you to the official resource repository which I think is http://beta.armagetronad.net but that appears to be down.

There is map transformer here which allows you to edit a map and preview an image of the resulting map on the fly. Very handy if building a map by hand.
