subspawns would be the only way to make that work

you would have something like

Code: Select all

<Spawn x="100" y="200" angle=""><Spawn x="300" y="500" angle=""/></Spawn>
<Spawn x="300" y="200" angle=""><Spawn x="100" y="500" angle=""/></Spawn>

You can't change directions or set any individual spawnpoints for members of the same team.

Also, FYI, it's X and Y coordinates, Z being the 3rd one, which you know well isn't really implemented in armagetron gameplay =)

WRTL patched Sty+ct to be able to do this, we both tested it back then

Well I don't really know how it is coordinated. But in terms of everything non armagetron X and Y create a two dimensional field without any depth. Armagetron incorporates depth so it incorporates the z axis, just I guess not in the coding. I guess imagine that the grid was lifted up vertically.

From the looks of it, "Ladle + TST" has become the very cool and much anticipated "TSKT".

:) Just thought I would join this thread to it. Good luck everyone!

Haha, don't think I stole it.. The whole Knockout Tournaments were in plans for a while, that's why I'm just executing it as I go along.

Actually, Flex had a variant idea for Ladle-TST. It involved Fortress zones and a Sumo zone in the center of the arena. I've seen similar maps in CTWF, but what he described to me would need 2 different fortress_conquered settings. I'm pretty sure that's not possible at this time, right? Maybe we can talk about it and see what develops? (Although, I really like the settings and map used in the Team Sumo Knockout.)

Just sayin' ya know?
