Though I set dedicated_idle 0, the server doesn't quit when there's nobody in there, it only resends the information to the master server.
I'm using the build Infamous provided at http://fight-clan.org/stuff/Builds/arma ... .win32.exe .
(Need this to work so the logging creates a new file each day, without me having to type quit)

Yes, that's what dedicated_idle does. Put

dedicated_idle 0.00001


into everytime.cfg to quit whenever players were online and quit.

Then it goes into an infinite loop when nobody is there...if this behavior could be avoided? (i.e. only quit when people have JUST left the server)

That's why I said to put it into everytime.cfg. There, it's only activated once people have been playing.

How would I set up an everytime.cfg? (I currently don't have one)
Since I doubt just having an include everytime.cfg in settings_custom.cfg would work..

just make an everytime.cfg file in your settings or variable directory

the game will include a file named everytime.cfg before a round starts
