Hey, if someone tells me what keeps on continuously filling up the harddrive partition the database is on it won't be down all that often.

Actually all media of any sort should go to a seperate set of harddrives…

After the long downtime that just ended (I was AFI for two weeks) I finally figured out what ate all the disk space: Apparently mysql keeps some sort of binary log files at /var/lib/mysql/mysqld-bin.* and /var/lib/mysql/<hostname>-bin.*, which accumulated (who expects logs to be outside /var/log?) ever since I set the server up and were at ~100GiB when I discovered and deleted them (that's quite a lot on a 160 GiB drive).
That should hopefully end the downtimes for a while.
