THE SERVER PHARM IS BACK!

I still want to do more testing before the ladle server gets used in the next ladle, but here are some details. Luke-Jr. like many others had just started to offer a vps offering based in Georgia, US. This is really less than ideal to serve gamers in Europe and the United States. So, I asked Luke if he could offer me a VPS in his Connecticut Server. He said that he could. Well, he offered me a good enough value, that I bought enough of a plan, that he had to upgrade his server to service me! So, you won't have to be concerned that problems that you have seen with luke's CT servers will be encountered with one's hosted on my vps. I don't intend to resell servers. I think this thread has given you guys somewhat of an idea what I can do.
In a few days I will be announcing a public Teamspeak server I am hosting for Wild West. I will make a room for the ladle on that server. I thought that it might be fun for people to stop in afterwards and talk about their ladle experiences. I will also put up a "Ladle Losers Server Hangout Spot" for the fun of it! FTW!

Sorry for the double post but I realized I should probably say more.

First to answer sine...I think she was referring to posting in the wiki...not here. When I say "its up to me" I am merely saying that I am the one that is willingly taking on the responsibility to post...by the way not here ...but on the main wiki. Although I will post here too.

I speak of hurt feelings cuz i keep hearing people like sine express in forums and in chat to me personally things that seem to indicate their dissatisfaction with Wild West policies, procedures, and general attitudes. I would prefer to err on the side of caution and not piss people off, that's all.

Sometimes this forum in general seems like the fortress place...and little else...and I mean no offence in that. But that is the real fork in the community. I feel that if I start posting other game mode tourneys here...maybe that will change. I am just saying I would like to bring more people from different game modes together somehow. Kyle's Tronic Spork is a great start!

Also, the informations of the tournaments in our forum are public. And yes we have an usergroup where the menbers can discuss, like all the forums. Gene proposed to put informations on the wiki or here, it is rather a good new

How nasty it is! maybe something like that should be annonced in the wiki: If you do not inform our community to prepare tournaments, then you will be rejected, and offended of xenophobia!

Of course, i exaggerate , im just doing like you, I generalise a wrong information

Anyway, all this confirm me that sometimes, it is too serious. (Yes I am in those who still think that armagetron is a game

)

Plus it doesn't do you any good to point out that I'm a bad guy. Everyone knows already, so why bother? Try ignoring me. It works.

BACK TO THE ORIGINAL TOPIC (Armagetron is just a game I love to play)

I will be starting a new thread in this forum about The Server Pharm.
Initial testing of the VPS that I have purchased from Luke-Jr. have been very encouraging! He was offering a VPS hosted in GA, USA. Not what I wanted. I wanted one hosted from his server in CT, USA. So, I Chose his $15 /mo plan. This forced him to upgrade the memory in that server. There is no other hoster offering such a plan, so close to the undersea cable connections between continents. Euro players thus far seem to get much better performance than GA based hosts. Quite frankly, pinging hosts from the vps, i get nice pings where i want them. Destiny is going to create a subforum on the lagtest.net site for The Server Pharm. I don't want to have to create and manage a forum on top of things. Plus, I plan to remain closely tied to Wild West.
