Google Summer of Code

Post by Luke-Jr »

Somehow it crossed my mind to apply Armagetron for GSoC. But upon inquiry, I learned we would be too late this year. :<

However, I did get a lot of comments along the lines of "Armagetron is cool!" and one "it would've been my dream project to work for you"... so we should make sure we apply in time future years! :)

wouldn't we need some good mentor ? ...

I'd really think the Armagetron code is a bit difficult for people who are new to C/C++ ... (I still feel "beginner" skilled in that regard.)

Im my opinion a mentor should be able to teach and understand the participants coding/design problems (if any).

The need for income, I suppose. Hinted that maybe if Google doesn't take up all their time they can still help.
