The Spork is a New type of Tournament for all types of teams. The First Spork will be played on Sunday 8th March 2009Each team of 6-9 players will declare their home server. The team captain must have admin access to this server. The servers and teams will be randomly placed onto the challenge broad the Wednesday before the tournament. You will either play a team at your Home server or the other teams home server. Due to the nature of this competition it will be a Double Elimination tournament. That means regardless of winning or loosing the first round your Teams will move on to the second round. The plan in to have 16 different teams of all gametypes playing at their favorite servers. If more than 16 teams sign up challenge Bord will be modified accordingly. All competitions will be 6 vs. 6. please try to make servers support up to 24 players, for backups and spectators.
Thanks and Enjoy the Spork

i guess it is not technically double elimination, but don't you think it would take too much time if it was. I just thought giving the loosing teams in the first round a second chance would be fair and would not take too much extra time. its the difference between 5 or 8 rounds
I'm not sure how to make challenge board more readable.
If anyone want to help organize it please PM or we can have discussion here, If you have a server you can donate, that you can add the teams settings please add it to challenge board. and if you want to play find a team and sign up
I think someone needs to figure out my idea and explain it better.
Basically Each team enters with 1 desired server that they have admin rights to (so each team has their own server /settings)
I'm thinking a match time limit of 13 will be the only required setting to keep it moving
Teams are 6 - 9 players i guess that should mean MAX_PLAYERS_PER_TEAM 6
MAX_TEAMS 2
MIN_TEAMS 2
So CT Could have a team for Crazy Tronners wild fortress and a team for Ladle fortress (i don't think we will have enough for that though)
then the format will basically be, like ladle only servers will be either our team's or our opponents server. the only difference with this from the ladle is that we will Let the loosers of the first matches continue on to challenge for the win at the end.
Are will still doing setting rotation? That makes server hosting harder. However it would be easy to package up the current spork server for others to run.
I think it would be easier if we have 2/3 servers per server, and just let teams register normally.
It could be difficult to get everyone sorted within a week.
