Fortress

Designed a level that creates new, exciting, and challenging Armagetron game play? Or maybe just something funky. Put it right here.

You can find the map in your resource cache (resource/automatic/...). You also need a specially patched server; I don't know which code shootout runs, whether it is the CT armahacktron variant or the plain pig sty patch. There's a recent thread here on where to find the hacktron source, and the pig sty patch is best found here:

/me wonders if maybe we could make the wiki link bigger.
Or at the very least more prominent.

Connection Problem

Post by chesstwin »

No, Ive read that it didnt help me.

I have possibly? problematic setup.
I have Verizon DSL through Westell modem/router on bridge mode
That is hooked into a standard linksys router.

I cant forward ports to my server from the Westell because "it is not on the private LAN", but i can from the linksys

I have Dynamic DNS from dyndns but that doesnt seem to help at all.

Then i get this error starting the server

Code: Select all

[0] sn_SetNetState: can't setup listening sockets. Reason given:
[0] Permanent network error: Unable to bind to 71.111.230.253:4546 because that is not an address of the local machine.
[0] Bound socket to *.*.*.*:4546.
Ive tried a lot of stuff and am simply stuck.
