It doesnt turn the space into webpsace exactly you cant start using the space for your site. It turns the 1gb of space into another drive like C:\\ that is viewable from windows explorer. Is there MAX file size that can be uploaded to gmail drive?. I know that the file email attachments max size is 10mb. I alos know that you cant send exe files.iceman wrote:gmail drive![]()

there IS a hack to turn it into usable space
ive seen a proof of concept code that only needs a small rewrite to allow direct links from your site to download files in the gmail account
and the problem of .exe or zips containing .exe is easy to get around
just encrypt the files with random numbers and have a small decryper on your site that returns them to standard files
( something similar to my encrypted bmp test i posted here http://guru3.sytes.net/viewtopic.php?p=8520#8520 would do the job )

ok, both have similar functionnality:
gmailfs is the Un*x one,
gmail drive is the MS-Window one.
That said, I really dont think that files from one could be changed by the other, they must use their own "format" and protocol.
gmail drive has a file size limit just under 10 megs. So of course a determined person could generate some multipart archives for the bigger files.
I really need to try the gmailfs!

google is compiling the largest database of email addresses, cross referenced with multiple referrals for use with their diabolical plan to take over the internet and control our minds. Microsoft should be worried, as they will lose control of our minds. google is so clever they are even gaining control over many nix users.
be afraid. be very afraid.

Lol!!iceman wrote:thanks x-it
i dont think microsoft will be worried as they have so many back doors in all their appilcations, taking over the world should be a trivial task
Which is the worst? Google or Microsoft????
