Nivida Geforce 8800 GTS
2 GB Ram (Take2ms)
^^
öm yes Windows Vista Ultimate (64bit)
je that is all, is it possible that arma is created for 32bit systems??
When the answer yes is, gives it a 64bit pack.

Google wrote:Disable Vsync, Vsync synchronizes your frame rate to your monitors refresh rate, its likely vsync is on and the monitors refresh rate at the resolution is 60hz, therefore giving you 60FPS, this can be fixed by Disabling Vsync.
But be aware that you might have tearing because your montior won't be able to draw the frames as fast as the engine can, therefore causing tearing when you're moving.
Ok stetching memory here but go to:
Nvidia Control panel
3d settings
Advanced
You should see a stack of things listed there like AA - AF etc - scroll down and you will come to Vertical Sync - ON - click that on part and drop down box opens and make it off - then apply.
You may also need to change this in game if the game tries to override this setting.

You mean 75 Hz? Is your monitor a CRT or LCD? (Bulky or flat) LCDs have the additional problem that they often drive the display at a fixed rate, and if the computer sends its images at a different rate, you get choppiness.
If you don't get choppy graphics, then there absolutely is nothing wrong with running at 60 FPS.

Generally faster is better if your source framerate doesn't have a particular relation with a certain refresh rate (not the case with Armagetron if you don't use vsync or the hardware is fast enough to deliver every frame). But as z-man mentioned, many LCDs update at a fixed rate, often 60 Hz. You could look on the web whether it is one of them, but if you don't notice the difference you can just go with 60 Hz and be happy.
