Server Config Help (mac)

So, I'm trying to set up a dedicated server. I typed in all the config stuff and ran it, but when I went to log into it I couldn't find it under the name I put in the config. After a little while, I found a place called
"Unnamed server" and figured out it was mine, by the way stuff appeared on the terminal when I logged in.
Anyways, despite my 20 minutes laboring over my server settings, the settings just appeared as default. I attatched the settings files, so you can see, and maybe point out what I did wrong. (Btw, I tried to make them .cfg but I couldn't, so they're .cfg.rtf. Would that have anything to do with it?)

And so, the name doesn't work, and neither do the settings_custom above.

yes, if its .rtf, that wont work.

Do it this way, in textedit, go, FORMAT > Make Plain Text. then save it with .cfg instead of .txt

Then it should work. All the settings seem fine.

I'm kinda a retard with computer stuff, so how do you save it as cfg?

First of all, your new here, so you probably didn't know this but, there is an "edit" feature that lets you edit your posts, hence you don't have to post twice in a row. Its up in the top right corner of your post.
