Tournament Protocols and Behavior

Post by locutus »

I just wanted to say to all that participate in these tournaments, that we need to have a certain level of communication between teamates. Do not constantly lol or asci spam by any means, this only intereferes.

Also, do not bitch and moan about rubber, lag, server settings and so on... these guys go to a lot of hard work to set this up and we should show some appreciation, and it interferes with morale of everyone else on the gird trying to have a good time and just dealing with things the way they are.

The 1st match we had was great! We had open communications, audible calls for plays and most importantly a great time!

The 2nd time was not so good, teamates were being hotshots on their own and chatting constantly or bitching. We do not need this in game.

This is a team effort and we are working to make it better each time!

please show some class in tournaments...good and bad players...

thx tank and marrow for everything

Good point, the reason why I started playing worse and worse in the 2nd match was that my morale went down... A lot... I should've started listening to music to help me feel better.

I noticed that once your team started fighting internally, the point spread really opened up. It was a competitive game until then. Then, at the very end,...well... we won't go there... lol.

I think a good fix to this is to assign permanent teams and really stick to them. Maybe the players on the teams will feel a bond or develop a bond. Well, I can only hope that's the case. I know that I would like to have a permanent team for my server from now on.

An idea I've been thinking about is having team captains. If you run a server, you become a team captain. Then, it is the team captain's job to go out and recruit who will be on the team. That way, all Tank and I have to do is scheduling. I'm confident that the team captains can make their respective teams more unified than I can from a distance.

Think of it like terrorist cells (*lol*). They operate on their own, but are directed as to the wheres, whens and hows by a bigger cell.

So, maybe Tank and I would just schedule the matches for a set season. It would be up to the team captains to build the teams they want to take to the finals.

An example would be me recruiting set players and they become loyal to my server only. Same with Tank, he recruits players and they are his players. Then later we could have free-agency.

Just ideas... thoughts/comments?

Locutus makes some good points. Hopefully we can build teams that are committed and having fun. And if people are having fun, they'll be content and not complain. Well, that's the plan. :|
