crisper fonts for armagetronad

Post by locke.dragon »

just thought i'd post this. i made the fonts nice and crisp. it helps if you turn font drawing to "nearest".

(the fonts are there, they're just completely white, so they blend in with the background of the page. just right click on the top left portion of the page and his "save image")

I don't agree that horrible filtering is 'crisp'.

Hmmm, I couldn't see them. However, there's truetype support in 0.3.0, the files you've modified are the obsolete ones in the stable release. ;)

Anyway, I suppose if they look that much better they can be included in 0.2.8.3, but I couldn't get a good look on them in my browser.

Not for IE users, you can't really view those PNGs, and I like abusing tinyurl for hosting.

I prefer the old ones, by the way.

I believe IE 6 composites them on a gray background, so they should at least be visible. Not sure about data: though.

Nice hosting abuse. The wiki can't do that. :(

IE6 uses the backgroud color specified in the image, or gray if there is none. In this case the stored background is black, so the images are actually readable in IE6. IE doesn't support data: urls at all, though…

Yeah, the missing support for data urls on the wiki is a shame.
