IMPORTANT: TST 4 - Delayed [ 1 Week ]

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to delay TST 4 until next Sunday [ April 15th ]

Most of you will, of course, be wondering why this is so. Well, here you go:

1. I will not be able to show up
2. We are still 5 teams [ 10 players ] short
3. The server situation is a bit iffy [ °°ps server status is undetermined ]
4. My site was down for maintenance for quite some time [ players couldn't sign up ]

The good news is that there still we be 2 weeks between TST 4 & Ladle 11.

Sorry guys, hopefully this will never happen again. I try to make this fun for you guys and having it take place this Sunday would've been a disaster.

So, once 5 more teams signup, I'll get the brackets up and we'll be rockin' & rollin'.

Well, ed has a vps (the one CT wild marathon is hosted on), and he agreed that I can host a server for the TST on it. You'd just need someone to admin it

Ok, I set up the server on ed's VPS, it's called “Ed's TST Server” and running on plantpeanuts.co.uk:4537.

I PM'd the ADMIN_PASS to Rico, in an emergency me, ed and voodo0would also have access to it, though I'll be busy administrating my own server and I don't know if ed and voodoo will be there.

Ok, I know Buc will blame me for everything that happened, but oh well. Here's what happened:

We all got to together, started a little early.
From the team changing at the beginning, the server had registered a wish for whatup to join team green (he was on team gold). This wish appeared at the beginning of every round, but because team green was already full (Döner and Slayer), it wasn't fulfilled.
I decided not to tell him because I was busy playing and figured it would not have any effect anyways.
Team gold won the first match.
Halfway through the second match Slayer had to leave because of some school reason.
Now there was a free spot on team green, and the server put whatup on team green, causing a lot of confusion.
At the same time a couple of noobs joined (ignoring the big fat red TOURNEMENT GOING ON, DO NOT JOIN A TEAM message in the server name) and filled up whatup's spot on team gold.
It took some time until I was able to kick them and for whatup to join team gold again.
After that I asked whether I should reset the match. Team blue (me and 2020) were leading at that time. I received an overall positive response to this, so I went ahead and did it.
Most players were fine with that after I explained what had happened, except buc (team red).
Team blue won the second match
Somewhere at that time buc began to get really annoying, questioning my reset, messing around with the rules, basically forcing me to answer even though i was playing.
He also demanded whatup to be punished because it was his fault (partly it was, but he couldn't have planned it, so it certainly wasn't on purpose), and so on, and so on.
Buc then started to purposefully disturb the match, leaving (really leaving, it wasn't a timeout, I can see that from the log) and rejoining, discussing some more.
Buc joined team green.
Team gold was close to win, team red was somewhere way down the list, with no chance to win the match, so I finally banned Buc.
Team gold won the match and the quarters.

wrtl you have to deal with such madness sometimes

i wasn't aware of half of this going on
and when you reset the second match
i was ****** off since i had managed to win a round or two while you were awol dealing with things
hehhe

some kind of locking situation might be useful
what would i do if i suddenly find myself on the wrong team...?
probably leave the zone... ask some questions... not get involved in the zone war... probably suicide... go to team menu and get back into my team...
that is
minimise the consequences

ps
best performance from me in tst so far

even though me and wrtl didn't get through to the finals...
could we do best of 3 and two teams go through
(that is -- quarters, semis and a final)
or best of five and only one team goes through...?

Hehe wrtl, I must've been concentrating because I knew like 4 of those 15 points, and 3 of them were the match winning

And 2020 I've wanted to do have semifinals since the first TST when i found out that there would be 1 winner (even though me and cyclo won the quarters, I wasn't trying that hard because i thought ok, ill let infamous win here because we'll still be in 2nd place)
