Yeah, to get CTF, you have to patch the server sources, it's not part of the standard distribution.

Ok, well, keep us posted. Make sure to keep in mind that if you have any errors, there are lots of people here willing to help if you provide complete information on the error, what you did to produce it, etc.

For a server, you don't need libpng. Did you pass --disable-glout to configure?
