Just turn xgl off when you play tron. Back on when you've finished.

It's not even hardcoded, it's accessible through system setup→misc stuff→global keyboard config. It defaults to r, I think.

EDIT: Umm, this post was actually made AFTER tank's below.

Isn't there a hardwired debug key to reload textures? Could just use this everytime the textures become unloaded, also you can just switch fullscreen -> windowed and back to have the textures come back. That's a little annoying between rounds though.

Well I've noticed two odd things. When the textures crash out, somehow the text and floor settings intermingle. When the textures are crashed out, floor will bring back the text and vice versa. The other thing is that if I turn absolutely everything (including the HUD) off, it doesn't lose it. The only real way to tell is that the floor goes sheet white when it crashes out, if it's set to none. If the floor's default color was black, you couldn't tell if the textures crash out when they're turned off.

I found that reload thing though, mine was unbound, but I've bound it, and I'm going to see if that fixes it. :)
