thanks free, i finally did figure it out (sort of). my browsers were not redirecting the MMS streams to winamp, so i had to do it manually (drag and drop).

no idea why they chose MMS either, since i think it's a cellfone format.

I use OSS Video Coverter to convert the video into a usable video file for IAdobe ImageReady

Then I use Adobe ImageReady to convert the movie file into gif and editthem from there.
