Hi all, hi Tank Program

This is written on behalf of most good players on the "Classic" Server - during the last few days we saw an increasing number of "Idiots" on it and, quite frankly, we have enough of stupid "on purpose" campers like Pennies, Jack, Morgendavid and the like. You've got to do something about it. Some suggestions:

- kick voting enabled or
- an ACTIVE admin or
- an active Co-Admin, who can easily kick those people
- software countermeasures against "heavy" camping

Maybe some other people have more ideas or suggestions but i think an active admin might be the best of all. Hope there are lots of replies, so Classic can return to a "fun-to-play" server.

PS:
If one might ask what a "on-purpose" camper is, just watch Pennies and Jack on Classic - if both are the only survivors, they camp until all space is consumed - just to piss of all the other players and making them leave (thats what usually happens after a while). But they are just one example ....

Yep...Norm is 100% right.

But since pennies said she/he and jack will just have to change their pseudonym and IP adresses I think we should have back the kick option.

Otherwise they won't stop to do their shit and to piss off all the good players.

P.S : Most of the peoples can't get enough with that bunch of idiots.

I agree, enable kick voting on all tigers network servers, especially Team Play because it was a hassle when you scedual a team maych here and people kept coming in, its more trouble setting it up so more can enter.

On this server once, I was alone with one other guy, with the grid covered in lots of walls.

I left a spot open intentionally for him to come fight me, but he just sealed it up and trapped himself, then everyone started calling me a stupid camper.

It sucked.

tygers servers should stay open

i have had opinion sikilar to norms at start, and being very anoyed with slow players and campers on speedblast (the only one)
learn to deal with it
kill those guys first, all points are wellcome
and some of them are just new and insecure, as their skill develope, they will probably abandon camping as a way to play

that would never happen if someone kick those players at the start of their tronlife

It doesn't stop.

Now the infamous jack took another pseudo ( code jack ) and camped again. I can understand that's not possible to have always an admin keeping an eye on the game but I can NOT understand why the kick option is still disabled.

The kick option has been done for a good purpose. Kicking assholes.

Norm is now an admin. The reason Kick voting was originally disabled was to keep the assholes from kicking you. You've gotta understand that I'm pretty busy and I just haven't found the time to trapiez through the config files over ssh and vi to re-enable it. Just hold on, I'll get to it eventually.

But now allmost all players are good players and will just kick cranks.

3) It wasn't my point. I understand perfectly that you're busy and I wasn't upset or anger against you. I just tryed to say that we need a protection against these stupids campers.

No. You see, it is not the beginner or slow players. This is all about the guys who just come to classic to piss other players off. And they even admit - they do it for this one purpose - to make everyone leave the server.

They will not get kicked by me nor by tank i guess. It is not about kicking every camper as soon as you spot them - it is about the people i described above.

Remember - we all want to have fun playing this game, nothing more, nothing less and i only kick players how intentionally want to kill the fun.

The fun has returned now, so i like playing again
