It's hard enough for clans/teams to get a full team for a ladle. Imagine how hard it would be for random players to commit. I always have liked the idea, just seems to always fall apart after a month or two.

What if we had no tourneys, and I wanted to start a monthly fortress tourney called Ladle. I bet most of you would say it'd be cool but would never work, because you'd never have seen it work out.

I have a fancy little list of what we need for this to get going, in my second post on Page 1. Seems like servers won't be a problem. A proper website will be there in time. All we need now is player interest. I know players will be interested in a good league, but how do I show that it's a good league if there are no players to show it with. Heh.

As for the commitment issues.. it can be solved by having big enough rosters. Teams might be too thin for starters but with time teams will grow, and those annoying occasional 4v5 matches in the start of the league will be remembered as good times.

Bump.

I tentatively volunteer for a 'team leader' position, if this is still on?

The website idea is too semi-advanced for me to make on my own so It'll take a lot of time for me to make it happen, and I don't wanna do it if it won't be used.

Of course, I'll make this happen if there's interest from the community, but only then.
Community is too busy figuring out a good way too seed ladles anyway, and that's higher priority imo too.

sounds good
established teams and clans regularly turn up for ladle
so a promotional push for other players to participate and get teams together
may help to fill the league slots..fort comps are very exiting..but how to get other non ladle players hooked on that buzz has always been difficult..one of the main probs being euro.s not liking us servers and vice versa..(ping and lag issues)..although i tend not to worry bout it..cause it evens itself out to some extent..so how do we draw others in ?
i just love it
