Hey guys.

Alpha Project's branch is going ok for the moment. Adding a few stuff here and there and modifying stuff under the watchful eyes of kyle (of-course :) ).

The branch looks very promising, especially for racing. I am thinking of putting up a "Drag Racing" server. I was wondering, is the timer you are using accomplished by additions to the code, or is it strictly a script?

It's in the code. Remember animuson's racing server? That's where it's merged from. You need a script for e.g saving the best races*, but racing, timer, countdown etc. is done without it. At least that's what animuson's did.

*Smart has a racing script somewhere on the wiki, if you want to use that, search for it there or better yet ask him if you see him somewhere

Glad it's being put to use. Not the best coding standards but hopefully not too many people will notice

I'm not dead. I'm still alive. I only disappeared for a week because I was trying to implement duke's script into the game.

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~armagetron ... EWS-BRANCH

Check out the NEW_BRANCH and see the latest changes I've added. I'm sure many of you will be quite happy with it.

Thanks Duke. Your script gave me the idea for it.

Looking at all this, please don't assume I understood anything. All I did was look at duke's several times and then I got the idea for it. It doesn't work the same way in the game so I had to go through a lot of other codes, check out how they operated and then try and implement them into what I wanted. It wasn't easy, especially the reading in part. I practically mirrored the gHighScoreBase code.

But this is nice I hope and I hope my efforts would be paid of soon.

As you go through the code, you will see that I commented out a lot of the stuff that I used for testing out to make sure that it actually worked. That reminds me... I forgot to comment out one last line :P

My bad. Oh well. The main one will now be revision 794.

no response...

Heh, for all the effort I get a blank answer. Oh well...

Anyway i'm currently trying to get RACE_TRYOUTS working. That is: It allows for the player to respawn at the start if they die as long as their tryouts are greater than 0. Simply put it, it's merely giving them chances to play the same map.

Hey Loverboy, you created a server called "Fast Track Cage Match". There is a play-style and regularly-run tournament that already uses this name. But your server doesn't use these settings. Why did you choose this name? Please rename it something else or use the correct settings.

Thanks :)

Ya sorry about that Zero.

I have no idea about about FT and thought that was a good name to use. I think it's been renamed if BaLz did it for me.

Thanks for notifying me :)

hahahahaha! :D

The king of the world is returning to the grid with a new show of strength and power.

My old server, Kill The King, will be returning with a lot more intensity than it had the previous time it lived for and this time, it's an all out shocking performance.

Oh also, the server will be customized. So I won't be committing it to the branch where others can use the code :P

Anyway, look for the official Kill The King: Version 2 post and you'll see what I mean.
