I couldn't get it together in Chicago. An endless stream of part-time work and no chance of finding a comfortable place to live before winter pushed me to leave the city and head west, back to the wonderful city of San Diego. The job market is no better than Chicago, but the weather is perfect! Actually, a friend of mine owns a record store and said I could work there, so I'm taking him up on the offer. It's not going to be enough to live on, but I'll be able to survive the winter. After that, maybe back to Chicago.
If things go good in San Diego, and I have some extra money, I'll be able to put my servers back up - for a little while at least. I miss them. Also, I made a new game (months ago) and leaving it to sit on my drive makes me crazy.
I'm about 3 hours away from the Pacific Ocean as I write this. I've spent that last 2 days driving across the south-western United States. It's so bloody boring it numbs the brain.
