Just to put it out there, sealing, plugging, stabing, digging etc is allowed in HR.

But just like in fortress where holing is frowned upon but can be used; In HR cornering is also frowned upon but can be used. (Boxing is definitely frowned upon in HR)

So there should be and i dont think there has been any complaints of "sealing" in HR by an Hr pro or person who played or plays Hr on a regular basis.

This tourney should be fun and i thank compguy for hosting it, might get the groove back into HR.

If you read old forum posts on this forum, and read the Wiki very carefully, you will find plenty of references to "cornering". I have had a few old school players show me the technique, although I seem unable to reproduce it.

Yes, I'm looking at you Durka!
Don't worry ed, I won't seal you into a box, but I will trap you in a trapezoid .

rofl @ holing being frowned upon in fortress... it's a tactic, loads of people use it, only babies complain :> no use waiting around if its 3vs1 - imo

So what its a tactic. Just like in ctf where base camping is a tactic to cut down on enemy numbers but its still frowned upon. Holing can be a tactic but at the same time frowned upon. For something to be frowned upon there are numerous complaints about it. I have seen many people complain of holing. Just giving my opinion.

Only total noobs complain about base-camping nowadays. It's way more common and accepted than it was even a year ago. I'd like to think it has something to do with a fine essay I wrote on the topic. Same thing goes for holing in CTF. Everyone does it, especially the pros. These "tactics" are part of necessary play now that there are so many good CTF'rs (...when they actually play).

Hi comp (and all others),

first of all, I appreciate it that you are about to set up a hr tourney. Am really looking forward for sth like that for ages. :)
But before i sign in I have a question which I wasn't able to answer myself trough the rules. Is this a single player tournament, means no teams, it's all up to yourself?
