Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
Lucifer and or Z-Man, Flex has changed his email and it says he is locked out of his account and should've been sent some activation email, any chance we can take a look into that? He has been trying to post regarding ladle.

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
Still need Tank for that, and he hasn't been responsive in irc recently, so other than that or sending him a PM here, I don't know how to get his attention.Gazelle wrote:Lucifer and or Z-Man, Flex has changed his email and it says he is locked out of his account and should've been sent some activation email, any chance we can take a look into that? Second option: flex makes a new account and suffers through the minimum 10 post limit before posting without moderation. As I mentioned previously in this thread, but it's worth repeating, I'm checking these forums several times a day, so if he's patient enough, he can get through the 10 posts pretty quickly.
Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
So I've been trying to set up my client as to what it was before and I encountered 2 issues:
1. I forgot how to turn prediction on.
2. I unbound my console key by mistake and I don't know how to bound it again.
If somebody remembers how everything was done please haaaalppppp.

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
Predict_objects 1 is what you mean i think. And if you can't find where to bind console again just type /console and then the command
Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
This is correct. I have two chat keys bound to "/console predict_object 0" and "/console predict_object 1" and toggle between them when appropriate.Pre wrote:Predict_objects 1 is what you mean i think. And if you can't find where to bind console again just type /console and then the command
Hopefully the wiki will be functional in the next week. I know there are a lot of random players and I think the best option there is to have all the randoms meet in #armagetron.tourneys and create teams pickup-style.
Monkey, Word, I haven't paid enough attention. Is there enough people for a *|*Sparks team?
Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
As far as I can tell, just the registration method. Instead of putting the metadarta into a .php, it now goes into a json file. Same for the extensions. They're here, if anyone wants to fork and adapt them before I get to it: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:TimeConvert https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extensio ... ngesOptionLucifer wrote:How much has mediawiki changed? I made the theme, after all, so I should be able to have a more than passing familiarity with it.
I'm planning to install MediaWiki 1.27.

Planning on joining. Great job whoever initiated this!

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
I'm working with mediawiki 1.30. Hope that won't be a problem, heh. As for the skins, it looks like they've stayed pretty much the same since 1.25 or so, so it shouldn't be a problem.Z-Man wrote:As far as I can tell, just the registration method. Also, I think the editing errors I've seen are from the TimeConvert extension, which could just be disabled, I suspect.
Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
It's great to see this level of activity here. I'd love to play in this Ladle but Arma doesn't work properly for me on my operating system/computer at the moment and probably won't for a while at least it seems. I'll follow what's going on though.
@sinewav
I don't know if there will be enough for a sparks team but feel free to communicate with the other guys and see if you can come up with something (assuming teams/clans can enter this Ladle).

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
I don't know about the latest status of the wiki sign up, but has someone thought about making a simple Excel sheet?
One table for teams and one for single sign ups?
Using Google docs to share it? As Ladle is coming closer this might be an option if the wiki needs more work.
I could do a randomization macro in VBA I think.

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
In the absence of a fix for the wiki I went ahead and made a Google Doc for signups, and a tournament on Challonge.com (for generating the brackets, keeping track of scores etc.
Team captains should add their teams to the Google Doc and then sign their team up on the Challonge board.
Any players who don't have a team can sign up on the right hand side of the sheet and hopefully self-organise into teams.
Hope this works for everyone, and let me know if you'd suggest any changes. I'm definitely not a ladle expert...
Google doc (editable without signing into Google): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Challonge sign up page: https://challonge.com/tournaments/signup/eV6lQw3Z37
Challonge bracket: https://challonge.com/5fhs9f5d
Edit: obviously if the wiki is fixed before Ladle, we should go back to using that

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
Genius idea, I can speak for myself when I say even when wiki was working, it was a huge pain in the ass. Having to edit everything took to much effort LOLniin wrote:I don't know about the latest status of the wiki sign up, but has someone thought about making a simple Excel sheet?

You can also host config files at http://resource.armagetronad.net/upload/delinquent wrote:Since CT no longer seem to have a site, I'll stick the config on my domain so there's two points of access, the other being Compguygene if he's game.
Will be updated prior to the event

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
I'd suggest you stick with whatever you find working. I can't give any timeframe on when whatever we do to the wiki will be complete or or any sort of guarantee that it'll work. You don't want to be moving the work over to the wiki, have it not break for two days, then go haywire completely so you have to pick up the pieces.Peat wrote:Edit: obviously if the wiki is fixed before Ladle, we should go back to using that
