Per tradition, the Ladle will be played on the first Sunday of every month (except for January, which will take place on the Sunday following the first Tuesday of the month).

I thought my fix last year would have been good enough, but in case it was my fault, the countdown has been updated once again to work for the January tournament date. Now to make sure it still works when we hit 2016. lol

Also, the ladle number has been added to the countdown. Note that everything to do with it is automated, so it will still never need manually updated unless something is messed up, such as the January thing above.

Speaking of ladle and what appears to be a current shortage of teams, since there seems to be no negative feedback about double elimination and we'll be moving forward with it, would someone be able to make an 8 team double elimination bracket?

I mean, do you really need an explanation? I moved the team under invalid teams based on an assumption of mine that it was a troll team. The account that added it is Savage, which when you look at that link and check the first contribution you can see they remove Nanu from R's team and added "Savage" in his place. That edit was also within 24 hours of the other trolling edits of the anonymous account and the Rq~ account. If the other team leaders/ladle enthusiasts think that your 'team' should be allowed to play and sign up for ladles, that's fine, as for me I'd rather not give out team leader privileges to people that have a history of trolling.

would someone be able to make an 8 team double elimination bracket?

I'm working on it. Editing these templates takes hours! It's about half done. I just need to get it into Ladle Tool compliance and adjust the usage code. Should have it done before brackets on Thursday. Note: I have not re-coded my Server Distributor for double-elimination — yet. Aiming for next month. The lower bracket servers need to be entered by hand. The only rule regarding this is that we reduce server switching as much as possible. Easy.

I renamed the 16 team template DoubleElimLadleBracket and the 8 team one (unfinished) will be DoubleElimLadleBracket8. Remind me to add this to the Operations page.

Yeah no doubt, I tried looking it over a few weeks back and it gave me a headache trying to figure it out
