Sunday Fortress Competition
Hello people!
In a try to boost the Fortress community I will start this new event with the help of couple players and hosters.
Basically SFC is a weekly mini-tournament to be played on Sundays the same way Ladle is played. You can Sign up from each Monday to Friday, teams and brackets randomization will be done on Saturday and then I clean the page again on Monday.
This will be played each Sunday except when there is another event like Ladle or any Sumo tournament. The plan is basic, have competitive fortress more ofen than just Ladle days, bring back some players and see new talents. I will record stats and stuff to make it more competitive.

Hope you sign up and enjoy it.
Starting on August 30th!

Re: Sunday Fortress Competition
I love what you're tying to do. but I don't think the words "competition" and "new talents" can be in the same paragraph.
Sure there's always going to be people that want things like this happening (I do personally) but it is really not likely we're going to get new players starting playing fortress in a competitive enviroment. We barely do in public games. If it was a bit more "casual" I'm sure we'd get more people, but no one is gonna tolerate someone not grinding there, am I right?

A tragedy is commonplace but in the end they go away.
Re: Sunday Fortress Competition
I know couple players from sumo who casually play fortress but they dont play Ladle because their clan doesnt play fortress or they are clanless, so getting to play some serious matches they can turn into new promises, thats all. In case we dont get a super amount of player, even if there are only 2 teams its better than nothing.

Re: Sunday Fortress Competition
Actually where this could really help would be to get the existing Fortress scene playing together more on Sundays. There was a time when impromptu and planned clan wars happened most Sundays. If this could be a little less formal we could easily drag curious and clannless players in for more play. Of course the ultimate hope would be to get enough new players in that a new team would eventually form.

Re: Sunday Fortress Competition
1 week to go, enought people for 2 teams already, sign up and we will get a big competition.
Re: Sunday Fortress Competition
(was going to be short in time on Saturday and considering we reach 4 teams exactly...)
Brackets up! Check the team you play in. Starting at 17.45 GMT
if you team is missing a player, you can take a player around.
Have fun.

Re: Sunday Fortress Competition
Just saw the teams and I already know who's gonna win. 3 teams were so unlucky with this bracket setup
