Okay, let's decide on a date, use the 3-2-1 voting system (ties less likely, better representation of votes), and get this going

We also need more players to sign up, especially EU

Send me the votes via PM. I'll tally them up on a spreadsheet and let you know the winners after we decide on a cutoff. Use the following template:

Code: Select all

CENTER
1.
2.
3.

WING
1.
2.
3.

SWEEPER
1.
2.
3.

GOALIE
1.
2.
3.
NA nominees vote for NA nominees, and EU votes for EU.

Maybe we should open a new voting thread with the rules and everything. Also get people to say they have voted in that thread so that we can see how many people have voted, and to check if all votes are legitimate

Edit: but all this should happen after the deadline of signing up, which we haven't decided yet

How about the 2nd/3rd sunday of next month? Gives us plenty of time to prepare the teams, stream etc.

2nd Sunday is Brawl, and I think Shovel is still going on 3rd Sundays. Nothing on the 4th Sunday of the month iirc

what if we enforce that only people signed up can vote? that way people would sign up even if they don't think they can make the cut, just to vote.

4th sunday of June good then?

@ Gonz: That would exclude people who can't or don't want to play from voting. Don't think it's necessary

Voting is done, last vote by bebad

I need people to help me with this, don't wanna do it alone:
1. Tally the votes and post final teams (with subs)
2. Decide on 2 servers
3. Decide on a date

I'd love for ppl who got voted into teams to respond to this and help me, I'm busy and lacking motivation but we can make it happen together

Didn't count subs. Votes for pos 2/3 and 4/5 should be put together to determine winners for attack and sweep. Did it fast so can contain mistakes.

I think if you do include the subs tho it makes a difference. I believe it would tie ogo with xyron maybe for pos 5

The tiebreaker will effectively determine the winner then, anyway. The 'home' team has too big an advantage.
I like 2 matches in each server, and the sum of your scores is the final score. (And for reasons stated earlier, winner's score always counts as 100)
e.g. A vs B: 100-80 + 100-98 + 68-100 + 88-100 = 356-378 Team B wins.

There could be a designated non-player that keeps track of the total score.
I didn't read the whole thread, missed out on 6 pages of it. But this was my initial thought. Just pitching in my 2 cents. I agree with this. Play an even number of matches in both an EU and US server and add the scores together

So how would points between first and second choices be distributed?

I don't know if it'll make a difference to the final scores, but I think it would make more sense to break down votes in center, wings, sweep and defence, rather than 1/2/3/4/5/6. I appreciate there is a difference between 4 and 5, for example, but it is minimal and I doubt people had that in mind when voting (i.e. I vote for wap in sweep; not wap is good for 4, but probably not 5)
