here's a recording. 0.4, but no promises on the playback. Mac users, pm me if you want an exact copy of the client I used to record it.

Use a proper release version, then. There are two types of rcs:
1. Those with no difference to the release version apart from the fact that they consider themselves expired at times.
2. Defective ones.
Neither is prudent to use long after the proper release is out.

sinewav: is that a bug report or are you just sharing the config?

Oh, sorry. That's just the config. We had a server crash and I dumped the settings here in case we needed to move to a different server. Thanks for asking.

Thanks madmax for providing the server, and sinewav for organizing.

Stats are available. The imbalance stats are not correct—I'll work on fixing that bug.

Are you going to keep it running? I played a couple of rounds there and liked it a lot. Would be a pity if it were up for tournaments only.

Where were you the last year when the server was up full time?

Yup.

0.4 z1965 crashed due to an apparent memory leak... It was increasing around 1Mb / minute with about 12 players on the server.

That isn't reproduced here, not a single tiny leak. Maybe it was something one of those players was doing? I obviously can't reproduce 12 real players locally :) I'd need a serverside recording.

If it helps at all, even a little bit: I rented a VPS for a month in december, and we* hosted 0.4 on it. It crashed about every other hour due to a memory leak that reminds me of this one. I don't have further information but it could be proof that it wasn't just something madmax's server did because it felt like it.

*epsy set it up and found the cause of the crashes.

LOL! I was more than halfway to double digits, too. It was pretty tough I must say. I even tried assigning brakes for the boost. Grinding was pretty difficult.
Thank you to sine and all contributors. It was a fun tournament. I enjoyed the settings and I agree it could be longer. :stubble:

F1!

I played a bit in the server currently still on the list—I assume the one hosted by madmax. I kept getting cut off by AI whose European lagometers were behind me. :x

We all commonly deal with it, mostly referred to as "lies" :D Don't worry it's one of the most common ways to die
