Pure Luck vs. PRU 2-0
Pure Luck has impressed me recently and if hamar and six don't show (which is very likely) I think pLx will take it.

R has a nice lineup and most everyone will actually show this time. Gl ID.

Speed Demons vs SP-: Players I recognize on Speed Demons: Zero, tim misny, FRAGILE. Zero doesn't like me because I kicked him off my team sumo team one time.
uNa vs SP+: I predict this will be the fastest beating in Ladle history. Ladle 50 ftw!

QUARTER FINALS
mYm vs DS: No contest. In fact, I predict this will be the second fastest beating in Ladle history. And Liz will laugh a lot. Ladle 50 ftw!
PL vs _~R~_: I'm a big fan of Pure Luck. If they had a team jersey, I'd buy one (dariv's). Rogues do have some strength and will likely be better organized than PL, but I'm gonna say they lose because Poke's net connection will suck.
CT vs uNk: I don't know which uNk team will play here or which CT team will either, but I'm willing to bet that uNks can't handle a lightsaber the way CTers can. This will be a tough match and I'm biased, so FU uNk, CT moves on in my L50 Predictions.
SP- vs SP+: Please solve: (SP-) + (SP+) = n You'd think this tron math problem would = 0, but it doesn't. It equals SP+.

SEMI FINALS
mYm vs PL: PL squeaked by Rogues, but \\'s administration of Armagetron Pickup servers has given them strength and confidence.
CT vs SP+: If their lineup is Flex, Hoax, FoFo, insa, Xyron, and teen, this match isn't going to be pretty. The problem with that lineup is that they have too much weight and too much skill. You wouldn't think that's a bad thing, but it is. CT uses the force.

FINALS
mYm vs CT: mYm is strong, but I don't think they are destined to win Ladle 50.

LADLE 50 WINNER
CT: Ladle 50 winners get a Tronny.

In reality I think SP+ will win.

Anyway, this looks like it's going to be a really big ladle. People are pulling out the big guns for this one. Here are my top 3 contenders:

There's not much to say here but to note the additions of hoax, teen, and xyron for this ladle. Slap on fofo, insa, and another SP random (slov would be great, or nubi, or flex, etc.) and you've got a killin' team.

CTa
If Woned, Zap, and Beer all show, then they're already 75% of the way there. Also, both cronix and gazelle should be noted as they're still relatively new players (cronix less so) but both surprisingly great sweepers (and a great pair at that). The key here is still attendance though.

uNk
I purposely saved unk for last since I think this will be a very interesting ladle for them. I don't know the last time they put all of their players on one team, but I've sure never seen it before. Talk about all your eggs in one basket. There is so much potential here with this team, but I fear that one thing may lead to its collapse: democracy. uNk has always been the team to spread it's talent over both of their contending teams. They've stood for fairness, for equal participation and say. Now though, if they don't play their heavy hitters when needed, they may not make it. Sometimes sacrifices need to be made, and I'm curious to see if unk's second tier players are willing to make those.

Ah yes, the first Ladle. I wish I was old enough to have been there on that fateful, momentous day: October 1st, 1961. I did find a still from an old newsreel showing a little bit of it (now we see how old Vanhayes really is!). They just don't make Tron like they used too.
