Um, I seem to remember certain members of TX schooling all you CTF'ers last year. Could happen again. Just sayin'.PokeMaster wrote:Any other fort teams don't stand a chance.

Re: Starting Up Monthly CTF Tournament
I saw, which is why I comnented on spectator lag. Usually Ww's ctf tourney servers were locked up at 11 or 12 max clients.Wind wrote: Tobe: I’m not sure if you saw, but in a previous post I mentioned it would be a 4v4 with server limits of 15.

So did vZ sign up accidentally in the wrong place, or is this an example?Signups wrote:{{ ctfTeam | Volume Zero | Team Captain's Name| `:vZ.Hope | Players to Be Announced | http://vZclan.com }}

I am excited for this! Just a recomendation, Wind, you should edit your original post so that it has the sign-up wiki link, and possibly also create an information box (I think I just butchered a technical term!) at http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php? ... tition_Hub - maybe even edit the name of this topic so it's apparent sign-ups have begun for this.
Again, I'm very excited, and hope this is successful enough to become a recurring event!

Re: Starting Up Monthly CTF Tournament
Wind: you should really edit the original post with the Date of the tournament and the wiki page url.
Edit: oh Nel already said that.

Re: Starting Up Monthly CTF Tournament
Ok yeah, that's a good idea nel and deso. Thanks.
I'm glad to see we have all these teams signed up already!
Note: To the people hosting the servers... Would it be possible to get them up 5-7 days before the tournament starts? Or is this too early? The only reason I ask is so that if a situation comes up with the servers (like what happened to ours) there will be enough time to find a replacement.

Re: Starting Up Monthly CTF Tournament
Possibly, but trust me, mine will be up (unless something the day of the event happens, that almost prevented mine for the last ladle)
Hopefully I'll have a new system in place by then

Re: Starting Up Monthly CTF Tournament
If I get reminded in time, maybe. The problem is that recording essentially blocks my desktop PC, and it requires a minimal amount of attention, not enough to really keep me busy, but too much to do anything non-tournament related efficiently. If I'm also on admin duty, that's fine, but if not (well, I suppose I could set up a sty server), it's just a completely wasted evening. What I can do is just launch the recording clients and park them on the servers and only restart them when someone pings me on IRC.
