I'll keep my commentary short for now (this took a lot of effort to count).

I'm pleased with the result of the poll. There has been more discussion and work on how to enforce rules and ensure the Ladle runs smoothly, such as with Team Leaders meetings before the event begins to vote (if needed) and a new draft of the Guidelines. IMO, we will not be able to make the Guidelines entirely concrete, but we'll have an appropriate fallback option with either Ladle Officials or Team Leader meetings.

I think this style of poll can be used in the future, but probably only for bans. Maybe we can work out some more guidelines for when it can be used.

Before anyone else does it, let me point out that the 'ban dlh' vote would be considered invalid. The main point of doing ban votes this way is that the subject of them won't know who exactly decided to ban them so people can vote freely without having to fear revenge votes in the future. That kind of breaks down here. Someone neutral may want to redo that poll for extra correctness.

It doesn't matter how close a vote was to something or not...the vote did not pass...you should be lucky the voting was decided by majority and not by how our Congress works with two-thirds and three-fourths.

Anyway; I like this idea...prevents abusive topics that go nowhere. :P

liz, considering the way you did act, it's not surprising. I'd take this as a fact that at least half of the people still have faith in you (glass half full), and instead of calling people assholes, maybe just apologise or don't say anything, and be better in the future.

In the long run if we do keep having these, wouldn't it be more beneficial to set up a site using webforum (arma auth through the web) to allow the team leaders GID's to cast their votes? I'm sure we can create a unique ID for each of them when they submit and then create a results page only active once poll is closed?
