I'd just like to point out that since Nel's last visit, there have been 11 posts (including this one) making a big deal out of it. Apparently "he" is not making a big deal, "we" are. He hasn't even replied. But I think we all agree, no one cares - so let's move on.

And following Liz's lead...

Does the vote include the date and the team size? Because I don't think that has been decided. An 8v8 match would be more epic IMO, but 6v6 or 7v7 is also good. According to the competition hub, there is nothing scheduled for May 16, May 23. I would recommend we choose one of those dates and get this underway because there are lots more cool tourneys to be had.

Perhaps the voting thread consists of nominees only, and they vote on the players, the team size, and the date - kind of like how the Ladle votes work. Maybe each nominee selects 6(?) players, not including themselves. The top 6 ( or 7 or 8 ) players with the most votes play in the competition (I don't know what to do in case of a tie for the last slot though. :|)

Example:
  • Which 6 players are your dream team? [player 1, player 2, ... ]
What day should the event take place? [May 16 | May 23 ]
    How big should the teams be? [ 6v6 | 7v7 | 8v8 ]

The problem is that the first vote is based upon the outcome of the last. It is (imo) best if the number of players each nominee gets to choose are the number of players that are on each team.

I'll make the voting topics tomorrow. It will include a list of the nominated players for each team (aka the persons allowed to vote) and a simple template for voting. Each nominee will be able to vote for 8 players, and a date: 16th/23rd of May.

The match will be 8v8. Each team will have 2 subs.

The match will be recorded and (hopefully) streamed with commentators.

Wait, what happens if you're nominated and can't play on the decided date?
Winner of the How Many Pages Before The Lock® competition and a grand total of 18,93 euros in Euromillions.

I edited/updated my post(s), hope it's clear now.

Well, if you remove yourself you can't vote. So, no.

BUMP.

Don't let this event die. We've come a long way with this idea you nabs. Close the voting, announce the winners and date, make it happen.
