After the teams participated in a vote for the questionable settings below, a final draft of settings was determined. Note that these settings are the same as the original ones posted one week ago (coincidence? maybe?).

THESE ARE THE FINAL SETTINGS!

Old voting stuff:

BUT, those are NOT the final settings! (but, now they are! :P)

The following settings are in question:
  • SCORE_HOLE (points for going thru a teammate's hole)
  • Fortress Conquering (should 2v2 be conquerable or not?)
  • SCORE_WIN / FORTRESS_CONQUERED_SCORE (10/0 (old way), 6/4 (current way))
  • Winzone / Deathzone (yes/no/expanding/when?)
Each team will have ONE vote on each of these settings. Please talk about this internally (don't spam this thread with team discussions).

You must vote before October 5th, but don't vote unless you're a team leader, or have the agreement of your team leader to vote. If your team has not voted by October 5th, your team's vote will get thrown out, and the rest of the votes will be tallied.

The official Ladle settings for the 16th Ladle will be released on October 5th. Until then, all Ladle practice matches should use the settings in the link at the top of this thread.

For anyone interested, here're the current settings in the cfg file, as decided by a council of talking pants:
  • SCORE_HOLE = 0
  • 2 v 2 = UNconquerable
  • SCORE_WIN / FORTRESS_CONQUERED_SCORE = 6 / 4
  • NO Winzone
But, don't forget, these aren't the finals settings, so get to discussin!

PS: you don't have LIMIT_SCORE set, I fixed that on my copy

Good job catching that. In fact, I also didn't have LIMIT_ROUNDS set either. I've just re-uploaded the cfg file, so if you've already downloaded it, please do so again. I'm also going to put it in the main post.

The reason I didn't write that setting is because WW Fortress isn't new enough to do that. That also reminds me, WW Fortress can't implement the SCORE_HOLE setting, so if that setting gets voted thru, we'll have to change that to the TR server maybe (it's American also, but it's down atm).

Matado Core choice is equal to default settings:
* SCORE_HOLE = 0

I noticed on the CT ladle servers that when one side conquers a zone, the other one collapses. This prevents the case that both teams get conquer points, is this what 'we' want? Cause I kinda like it that you are able to get some points if your team performs only slightly less than the enemy in a round.

I agree on removing this, it's too frustating if you're in the enemy zone.

If anyone knows the setting, tell me so ;)

if you want me to update the settings, tell me so too.

If i had it my way i'd make it so that holes can not be ever made!!!! Let the defender Def! Can you maybe consider this for the next Ladle instead of allowing hole points?

I never understood the reason for this setting on some servers....someone enlighten me.

I do not want to hear these two words ever again! Although i just thought of one possible good use of it...
