Maximum Possible Sumo Score (in one round)

For things that have to do with those crazy test servers... and yeah. By request of z-man, and, of course, you gotta obey...

Maximum Possible Sumo Score (in one round)

Post by DDMJ » Sun Apr 20, 2008 8:00 pm

What is the maximum amount of points someone can get in one round of sumo (not team sumo).

I know, what I think, but let's see what you guys can come up with.

Post your answer in bold and explain how someone can get that many points.

Assume no more than 16 players are playing and it's a normal sumo server (not Flower Power).

I'll start it off:

I found a way that someone can actually get 1010 points in one round of sumo, but I won't tell you how (yet) because then the thread will be ruined :P.

Hack the server, get 10000000000 points.

have 16 players. Let all crash into you real quick and conquer their zones (270 points). Go to the next zone. Have everyone there crash into you, too, and conquer their zones. Do that three times (3*360 points). That brings me up to 1350 points.
Of course you'd have to hurry to get to all zones before they get too small, and the other players would have to be really good at surviving.

Hmm, actually I doubt your method (and mine) are invalid. The best you can do on a regular sumo server is geting 590 points via partially conquering two zones and then conquering another one for 360 more points and 30 points from the remaining player who has to crash into you at the time you're winning the match. That makes for 980 points in total.

Yes, wrtlpwnd that first method doesn't work since the round will be over after you get over 600 points, so you need 590 then go from there. There's a way to get over 1000 ;).

You need one more player to kill, then. You can probably archive that by wiping out your own zone, then wiping out another but leaving one player and his zone alive (it will collapse after you leave it), then harvesting some more points from a third so you have 590, then taking the two surviving players you have to the third and conquer that as fast as possible. Highly unlikely that would work.

Pointless discussion (pun intended).

a maximum flower power score would be more appropriate.
